  • Thanks for posting Mike, loved the section where he just plays with his right hand. An interesting personality as well as a great pianist based on a quick Wikipedia read !

  • Video without comment is a bit disappointing… sell me on watching and what to look for.
Thanks to @Geotony I know there’s a section with right hand only and that’s Wikipedia has some good content.

Incredible chops; ridiculously driving groove; humans are amazing sometimes.

  • Thanks this is an « Hommage » to him. He was among the best Jazz musicians , he died too young in 1999 at 36 year old.

  • Love his playing. His take on Round Midnight also worth a watch. Bit unfortunate that the audio is about 1/2 second out of sync with the video, but doesn't detract too much.

  • Thank you for sharing this! It brings a lot of memories of my teenage years when he was still alive. On this one, It is amazing to see how he could add his own touch and virtuosity and at the same time stay true to Ellington's spirit. He was truly phenomenal !
