Don’t know where else I could put this under the new rules. But, if you are interested, (as a broadly creative person whose whole deal might on occasion extend beyond just one art form into others, and might find the consequent interbreeding of sources and influences there a way of enriching your primary artistic focus), you might be interested in this:

Feel free of course to flag this, er, off topic item, (if only there was a category for that…) as inappropriate if you feel it violates the sanctity of this space. I just want to know what the limits are. But I posted it because I found it interesting, and thought many of the multimedia creative types here might too. Like many people here, I am often looking for tools and approaches to add visual oomph to my noises, for YouTube purposes, so, yeah, I confess I am interested in this stuff, because ‘music’, but not music. Better to ask forgiveness than permission and all that.
For example I do recall a recent and interesting thread about Kaiju roars (film, and sound effects, so also not music, and therefore also now verboten, I guess, along with, oh, I dunno, field recording, a large part of my practice and interest which is also not ‘music content’ ?) and their relation to a piece I had made using them.
This in turn led me to find this comic, because I guess that is the way creativity works. It is promiscuous, likes to colour outside the lines, get out and about, and mess with things from other places, have sex with them, breed something new… ideally, that is, in circumstances where it is permitted to do so. For example, here. At least, back in the good old days. Before things changed, I guess…
