"Lost" and "Found" - two sides of the same coin - Melodic Garageband IOS
Hi
both these tracks use variations of the same chord structure - "Lost" is more acoustic and "Found" is very "synthy" and a bit longer. All created within Garageband IOS - no external synths or controllers.
I tried to create something a bit similar to what I'd normally do with Piano Motifs, but for the chord structure I played with multiple variations in Scaler 2, and then arranged them with Garageband IOS and overlaid some melodies, bass, leads, arps etc.
For the videos I used VS for "Found" and Staella for "Lost"
hope you enjoy

Lost is very beautiful. A job well done. What are the sounds used? Is this all GarageBand internal sounds?
Found is really really cool. Got some Tron Legacy vibes. Like the synths, maybe a bit less resonance on the synths but you did a great job marrying the synths with “traditional instruments.”
thanks @mjcouche - On Lost, the felt piano is Scaler 2, some of the strings/choir are mainly Isymphonic. The rest is mainly GarageBand Internal. on "found" I used a few Poison sounds married to the internal arps and keys
Really great. You should also check out some sounds in Beathawk. It has some amazing choirs and great acoustic guitars.
@mjcouche thanks - will have a look at that app - the inapp purchase for sounds seems reasonably priced as well
Both excellent. Probably preferred Lost. I thought the orchestration was beautiful. Also really enjoyed the visuals on that one.
I enjoyed both. They sound like variations on a theme. I love when composers do that. Philip Glass did that from time to time. Nice!
I love Lost, the felt piano in Scaler 2 is really underrated!
Great this is the proof that you can do more than many people think in GB even with big limitations. A very creative musician can create with any tools great tracks. Our iconic references in 1970 haven’t 1 % of the tool we have now.
thank you.
yes, completely agree. The power of an IPad with GB is amazing compared to all the money I spent on synths in the 80s
@unlink @Paulieworld @GeoTony - thank you all for your kind comments, glad you liked it.
