Splat to Clat. Drambo to sequence
Help needed please
I want to use Splat as a sound module only driven by Drambo in Cubasis 3.
I eventually figured out that I have to go into the settings for each drum pad in Splat and use Note Assignment then hop across to Drambo and hit to corresponding pad. This then sets up the link between them and works fine. Doing this 12 times isn't a problem but as soon as a I swap drum kit in Splat I lose those settings.
Am I missing a way to globally save those Note Assignment settings?

I don't have splat to clat, so I can not say for sure, but I suspect it has a default drum map. If so, you could go the other way around, put a Notefilter on every key you want to use in Drambo followed by a transpose module and transpose each key to the pad in splat, that you want it to be, then save the whole thing to a midi rack. I'm not sure right now, if you need a midi mixer module in the end.
Thanks for the response man.
I'm a Drambo novice so the above would take me a while to figure out but, yes, I suppose a dedicated Splat Drambo template would be way around this.
Still hoping a Splat user can offer some help? I know that Drambo is always the answer but you'd hope that Splat's pads could be made to save midi note numbers??
@GospelMusicians does stc have a default midi map or do you have to set it up every time?
Hi!
Just load Drambo as a MIDI effect on the Splat-to-Clat channel in Cubasis then start triggering from C3 (STC default) in Drambo - no note assignment needed! You can also change the default in STC by going into STC Settings - Settings - Middle C, two options: C3 or C4.
Awesome thank you and thanks for making a video too.
I hadn't even noticed Drambo was a midi effect even though I use Polybeat as a midi effect to drive Splat normally. Jesus it's hard being me sometimes!
You’re welcome, we all learn from each other!
