FAC drumkit has pretty cool kick synth engine, you can do with a bit og tweakinin same psy/goa kicks like from bazzism …

  • Also Ruismaker Noir and Chow Kick (free)

Any of them not even remotely close to Bassizm... different playground .. not saying they are bad - all of them are nice plugins, but Bazzism is speciffic beast. It's basically synth optimalised for psytrance / goa kicks - which are very hard to make in vast majority of classic drum synths - they are very speciffic.

On iOS only to me known plugin is FAC Drumkit kick engine which can go realatively close to what Bassizm can do)

Never tried Elastic Drums though, maybe that would be useable too ..

  • elastic is not doing "it" , so is seekbeats

Ah gotcha. I’m not in the desktop world so was just suggesting other good kick drum synths.

ok.. eventually let us know if you like fAC drumkit kick synth - i managed to do with it few pretty useable psy/goa kicks but it was not that easy like in Bassizm and result was not compmetely perfect - i then usually do fine-tube shaping if result kick ssmpke with additional pitch envelope in sampler

thanks for cleaning that. then iam not going to spend 17,99€.

Don’t get me wrong .. iťs great drum synth.. here example and that is just ine layer.. you can use 2 synth layers per sound

  • ok, lets deconstruct:
-how many envelope points got bazzism?
-what are they doing? (envelope shape etc)

  • Do you have Drambo @Birdpie?

    Hi folks
I'm also wondering if anything on ios goes near to bazzism. I'd like to have this type of kickdrum sound like in this video of tribalneed

Its warm, fat, punchy and on the other subtile.
It seems to be juno 106 kickdrum... ??
Can i reproduce it i.e. in Logic Pro? any ideas?

  • Any ideas here? Good apps for EDM kickdrum?

Are you only interested in a kick? No snare/hat/tom/clap? VApoly if you want a 808/909 drum synthesis, Ruismaker, Hammerhead (also samples). EDM kick is usually 909 based.

No, modern edm (and especially psytrance) kicks are definitely NOT 909 based :-)) Unless you want to sound like from '90s, kick in EDM is a lot about synthetising kicks with synths which have very snappy envelopes, and then also about heavy processing ...

    @erdstern @Birdpie

FAC Drumkit which i already mentioned in this thread is greatly capably as basis for creating EDM kicks but of course it is important to be aware that you need to build kick in context with bass and also use processing (ovedrive, equalisation, compression) to get the proper sound - you doesn't get proper sound just with play synth.

Yes Bazzism is exception - but that's becasue it is specifically tuned and optimised for psytrance/goa types of kicks, so parameters which plugin has have multiple sweet spots where you get kick which fits this genre .. in other synths "general" kick synths you need elaborate a bit more to get proper sound.

Here small example where i use FAC Kick for creating basic psy kick - as you can see, i do fine tunig in context of bassline (that's why i created there also some bassline) .. at the end kick + bass are (mostly) playing together with thrack, so you need build them the way that they sounds good TOGETHER.

In Logic, look at "Drum Synth" in mode "Hard Kick" - you can do realively quickly (probably with less elaborations than in FAC Kick) proper edm kick

I want to move to whatever country this is!

First, except for the grey haired hippy dude with the weird pants dancing, how does he get all those people to stay back, outside of a seemingly invisible circle? I don’t see a rope or any kind of barriers. Are they all paid actors?

Here in the states, I’d be afraid of someone running up and kicking me in the head and taking my Juno. (Maybe he’s got a couple of those guys working the cameras as security?)

What country has all these people that are so easily entertained by some basic synth loops and a 4/4 beat? I mean these people are entranced! The lady with the striped shirt and backpack starts clapping her hands and stomping her feet like that kick is the most amazing thing she’s ever heard @ 4:52 lol

Don’t get me wrong, I like this guy’s stuff, but did he really draw this big of a crowd with it?

Jeez I really need to get the f&$# out of Florida..
