Cydonia nuclear attack (Dark Synthwave)
Here's my first new track in 2 years. A dark synthwave number called Cydonia nuclear attack.
All sounds and sequencing in Caustic 3
Mixed in Auria Pro (Mixbox, Tonebooster)
Mastered in Grand Finale 2

I don’t think I have seen anyone post a Caustic creation. The App Store tells me that Caustic version 3 shipped 9 years ago and I’d expect there was a version 1 at some really early point in the history of IOS music making.
I like the epic build up in your track. The siren sounds really woke me up. I hope you post more creations… I know it’s not something done without a certain degree of caution. You’ve mastered this cool tool.
Thank you for your kind comments. I find Caustic limitation very inspiring. I only discovered Caustic in 2017 and sadly it is abandoned by the developer.
Personally, I don’t consider it abandoned if I can still choose to buy it. Roland’s “SoundCanvas” which I did buy has been abandoned. I can’t get it on my new iPad. I have a long history with the SoundCanvas and I miss it for playing General MIDI files. “KQ Sampei” has taken over that role for me with BS-16i a close 2nd.
I guess your right until a update breaks it
Loved this. Reminds me of 90s Amiga music. Chris Huelsbeck type stuff. I can see 16bit graphics and blocky text explaining the nuclear attack and your mission to go to the irradiated surface and clear out the aliens that have taken over.
Thank you. I had to check it out on YouTube. Having had a Commodore 64 back in the days I was pretty familiar with the style.
Maybe I should change the image
to a 16 bit graphic. 😄
Definitely getting big Bitmusic vibes from this. I expect a grainy vocal sample to come crashing in at any moment. Great work! Reminds me of this in the best possible way:
Thank you Svetlovska, I did think about adding some sort of vocals but decided against. But I will try vocal /samples in a piece soon.
Cydonia!!! This is killer. Great track! I love it. I did a song with that title about twenty years ago with a shredder monster guitar player. I recently remastered it and posted it a little while ago.

Your tune is also killer. Great work. I used to be able to play guitar at that level but wrist pain as basically completely stopped me from regular playing in the last 15 years.
Without wishing to divert the thread from the Creation, wow , yes, another great callback @Svetlovska.
I remember the hype around this and other titles like Speedball2. This one stuck in my mind because I bought an Atari ST because it could run Cubase, and I thought if I purchased just one mega DAW then all my musical creation problems would be solved :-) However the Xenon2 soundtrack was way better on the Amiga than the ST despite the STs musical marketing credentials.
Does that song origin from a video game ?
Yes, but it was derived from something else:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon_2:_Megablast
Which was derived from something else:
John Carpenter that I know.
Sweet! I dig it!
Just super!
Thank you @Edward_Alexander and @Slava
