@Pxlhg don't be sorry, I found it interesting, that you do get percussive sounds out of it and am still curious for a pack, if you upload it. And it's always good to try, if tools can be used for things, they're not intended for.
Here's the percussive pack they sell. Examples at the bottom of the page.

I got excited when I watched a Beardyman video triggering Objekt via live voice input (didn't even know of its existence until then). I'm wondering if this sort of thing is doable through Sculpture in Logic and also how the two compare side-by-side. If I could just purchase Objekt by itself I'd be tempted but not interested in spending a wad of money on full Reason.
I don't have Logic at the moment so I can't tell. Never used sculpture when I did. There is an Objekt competition ending now which will show a lot of the capabilities of the instrument. You are only allowed to use Objekt. Maybe a bit too much on the nose to post my contribution here and now so I'm not going to 😊 but go to sound cloud and search for #ObjektChallenge . There will be a video presenting winners and runner ups etc. on the 29th I think it was.
Yes. You can use external audio with sculpture via the side chain. It’s sort of like a vocoder. You don’t trigger it via external audio, the external audio runs through the exciters and responds to midi to trigger.
It can be pretty effective but it obviously depends on many factors. You could also use the vocoder in Logic and use a sculpture instance as the carrier and your voice/other audio as the modulator. There’s a ton of stuff in Logic!
I’m Not sure how sculpture compares with objekt. I have reason 12 but I don’t have Objekt.
Thanks so much for that. All makes perfect sense. I’ll play with Scultpure and Logic first I think. Thanks again!
Makes me want to spend more time with Drambo’s excellent modal resonator and FDN modules.
Cool - will check it out. Not on the nose at all to post your work. Would love to hear it! I'll see if I can hunt it down on SoundCloud
@roboticbean Did I read that you had a hand in the development of Objekt?
Just read a correction to that rumour on KVR. Pure misinformation! 😀
Propellerhead/Reason Studios could easily release Objekt as a standalone VST/AU, but, all the different modules they do to Reason DAW isjust to bring new users to the whole shebangs…
It’s better they release some of the amazing catalog they have to iPad - but, it seems that they lost interest in this platform.
The only two apps they sell nowadays on Appstore haven’t been updated for more then two years…
If I remember correctly they did reach out to this very platform and were met with very obnoxious posts. That aside I think they have no plans for iOS which is a petty. I think you can get Objekt to other DAWs via the VST Rack extension but sure, it's gonna cost you.
Yeh it’s a pity. I grabbed the month demo of Reason for a $1 and had a little play. Wasn’t hugely impressed with the Objekt presets but didn’t write it off. Then I see there’s a 50% off sale (in Australia at least) for the outright Reason 12 which makes it about $350 AUD. I was tempted until I realised it doesn’t come with Objekt. So won’t be happening at this end. I mean I should really get deeper with all the synths I already own
So the Objekt competition is over and I did, happily, made it to the top 30 and was played in the video presenting the winners and runner up's. 2 hours and 41 minutes in if you don't wanna watch the full 3 hours
