All the new toys: Hilda, Cascade, Noises - Ars Goetia

Ars Goetia, compiled in the 17th Century from material centuries older, is one of five books of the Lemegeton, The Lesser Key Of Solomon, an occult text filled with hermetic secrets. Ostensibly, Ars Goetia details the true names of 72 demons. ‘Goetia’ is Latin for witchcraft, or a charm: specifically, for the summoning of demons. Deliberate mis-spellings ensure the text, if used, is very much at the readers own risk…

Feels like I might be wasting my time bidding for eyeballs in the midst of Logic Progeddon, mind, but hey-ho, what’s a gal with new apps to play with gonna do?

I used my own preset ‘Dark Didgeridoo’ in Hilda, sequenced by SnakeBud, Thermo synth on drone, Noises on, well, noises, aided and abetted by a Hexaglyphics File Player loop, a fragment of actual playing from iVCS3, for the, ahem, ‘melody’ (well, four distinct notes, anyway. That counts, doesn’t it?), and two prime cuts of @Krupa’s superb Metropolis valve noise pack in Koala, most prominently, the awesome deep ‘Bawooom’ bass pulse. (You’ll need big speakers to do it justice!). A lorra lorra tweaked Cascade smeared all over everything, a smidge of Rydimgare, and the old faithful Alteza rounded it out. Several File Player loops later, the whole live mixed into AudioShare, bish bash bosh. No DAWs or keyboards were harmed during the making of this noise.

Now: tell me again why Logic Pro will change my life? ;)
