Rising from the depths

A few false starts on this one mainly due to my total inability to get to grips with Scaler 2 🤨
Anyway it turned into some sort of power ballad, rock hero, guitar anthem thing…

  • Very interesting intro, love it!!!
I can relate to the lovely artwork, quite an act, rising from the depths!
    Digging the guitar sounds!

Do like a sonar ping. Such an aching, mournful sound. The piece made me think of Pink Floyd circa - Meddle, was it? A track called Echoes? Yes:

Thank you, I loved it. :)

Virtuosity! (And you got the job done in a fifth of the time! :) )

  • Wow! I love this! It has to be my favourite track of yours so far. Yes, it is indeed very reminiscent of Echoes and Dave Gilmore's playing style but please take that as a huge compliment! Did you use any amp sims on your GeoShred patch (which patch did you use?)
Odd that I had just commented on @jwmmakerofmusic 's Malfunctioning Radar track that I would have liked a sonar ping and the very next track I hear starts with one! LOL!

Cheers @Svetlovska , I don’t think I was consciously thinking of Echoes, I’m not a massive PF listener but I’ve heard it in the past and absolutely know what you mean. I just came up with the chord sequence in Scaler 2 by prodding around till I found something I liked so there was a fair amount of chance in it… As for virtuosity , I don’t think so but appreciate the sentiment. I guess as there’s only one of me it’s hard to have differences of opinion with myself and storm out of the room 😊

  • Many thanks @AlterEgo_UK , means a lot that you enjoyed it. I’ll listen to @jwmmakerofmusic in a while. Interestingly the PF Sonar appears to be a B whereas mine which I harvested off YouTube appears to be a C which was useful as I happened to be in C Dorian. It’s the GeoShred Gong Lead (very slightly modified) which I’m using more and more at the moment. This is through Attack Softener at the start of the piece and then I bypass it via the modified GS control surface. Then through MixBox Digital Acoustic preset slightly tweaked and finally through Magic Dice which starts at 0% Wet and then I ramp up to 100% , again through the GS control surface at the end of the piece so that I can play the lead part all in one go.

  • Love it Tony! Definitely getting some Gilmour vibes. Great work as always!

  • Aw wow this piece is beautiful. Everything about it is prestine and lovely. Well done my friend. ❤️

  • Thank you @Edward_Alexander , @jwmmakerofmusic and @LinearLineman for the listens and the comments 👍

    Posted in error.

  • Nice! :)

  • Wonderful. So glad I took a moment away from the logic threads to listen to this :-)

  • Very relaxing

  • That’s what our mailman says @LinearLineman 😊
    Gracias @Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr
    👍 @Pxlhg
Many thanks but there will be more when you check back @belldu 😢
Cheers @BerlinFx (and welcome btw) 🤝

  • The pings threw me off at first, but when the chords came in I thought of Genesis. I like those two short fade outs. The way you layered the chords is really nice. Very expressive and emotional. The GeoShred guitar is perfect, as expected. Beautiful track!
