Wow. How was it revisiting this? Still sounds very current, (to me anyway, as a kind of downtempo backing for something) . Pleasingly minimal. I have an old cassette of my band made when I was 16. I’m 61 now. Weird listening back to that pimply kid.

I mean, I was a whole different gender then! And no-one wants to hear that me speak-sing, very badly, half-arsed would be deep and meaningful philosophical musings in a post-punk stylee. Ever!

Emphasis on the ‘would-be’. I was a pretentious little git who thought they were the first teen to discover Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Sartre, Camus, Genet, Burroughs… You know: the usual.

Thank you so much listening, I remember how humble my beginnings were as far as equipment and resources. I sampled a “one hit wonder” soul artist and flipped the sample… basically impossible to decipher 😉 because I used it in such a weird way. I’m not sure where I got the extremely simple, no brand name MIDI keyboard I had but it made a huge difference to be able play and tinker with sound up and down the keys. I was making chord shapes without knowing what I was doing, just going off a feeling. There’s nothing like “beginners mind”!
