MolliLooper for iOS is an excellent and intuitive live-performance-oriented looper with a nice interface designed for touch screen and going at a very fair price of around $5. It has a built in filter and limiter, both useful additions, and can loop from lengths of up to 8 bars down into glitchy reps of mere fractions of a beat. This video is a detailed spoken walkthrough letting you hear it on instances of piano and drums, all condensed into a mere 7 minutes. If you enjoy it, please remember to give it a like!

Appstore description:
The looper that never forgets
Molli Looper is a realtime stereo effect for looping and filtering
Intended mainly as a live performance tool, no preparation is needed to trigger loop recording - input is constantly recorded in the background to be triggered whenever it is needed.
Loop timing is synced to host clock, and can be adjusted from multi-bar loops right down to 16th note drills
The looped or unlooped audio is then passed though a lowpass -> neutral -> highpass resonant filter, based on a 4 pole ladder design for lush analogue stvle sound.
You can use Molli Looper either as iOS Standalone app or as AUv3 plugin.

The Netherlands €5,99 Looks great.
Wow $4.99 is a surprise! Went ahead and grabbed it. Looks great! You see this @Poppadocrock ?
Did a quick test in AUM with SDS-x and yep, it’s awesome. Looks like it’ll be a cool performance tool as well. Could be great for building up drops and such.
Okay been messing around for a few minutes now and I can see myself really enjoying this. Seems like some kind of AI detection of transients for good looping start and end points so it always ends up being really musical. Can’t wait to dive in more this evening.
Heaps of fun. I have been waiting years for exactly this…
You have to be careful not to deselect the selected loop length by tapping it a second time as that will put it back into recording mode and delete the last buffer. It crashed on startup in standalone but did not register as an AUv3 either so I did the obligatory restart and all was well. The right loop marker determines the end of the loop so you should move that to where you want the loop to end and then tap one of the loop length buttons.
Yeah it is super musical and intuitive - think it will be popular. Will have a vid up soon!
You can actually use it to get granular effects if you feed apps like Spedosa into it with Cascade on reverb duties and use the 4 left hand control buttons and scrub through the play head. Be fun using Molilooper alongside Spacecraft.
Interesting….GlitchCore does something similar, but this looks a bit more user-friendly…
Hmmm...curiosity reignited..
What is Spedosa? Can’t seem to find this app..
@colorsinspace The wintergatan instrument from Klevgrand sorry haven’t got a link.
Ahh yes! I have that. Hahaha great sounding app for sure.

Little example on a Hammerhead Drum n Bass patch - not exactly my forte but fun to mess with!

Ok, I can buy that one now then.
After spending more time with the app, it appears to be a fun and possibly useful tool with a delightful user interface and it's offered at a cheap price. However, one thing that bothers me about the description is the following: "input is constantly recorded in the background to be triggered whenever it is needed." Huh? No, not really. It records 8 bars continuously but it's not like we can recall what happened a minute ago if it's still on record, because that's long gone. Of course, it's totally understandable that it has a recording limit. I guess if we parse the words, the description is not entirely false, but it seems misleading to me and made me think that I was missing some hidden feature or set of features.
I personally don’t find the description misleading. You might let the developer know that you think the description should include the time limit/buffer size.
Fair enough.
