Deep DuDu
I did this about three years ago and found it while doing a bit of cleanup. It consists of a small rhythm section with an acoustic bass, piano, a guitar playing some muted harmonics, and some of the default percussion included with Cubasis. The trumpet comes from one of the Session Band jazz packs. The “vocals” are a female voice from an old app called Phoneme. The title comes from a Blocs Wave sample of some guy saying “Deep doo doo”. I thought some of our more sensitive members might take offense, so I changed the spelling. Oops… did I just say doo doo!

Lovely beat , digging this vibe!!!
What a festive and extravagant music, its party time!
Dudu or doo doo, it's very enjoyable.
Love the trumpet!!!
Hilarious title, but nice smokey jazz feel. It harkens back to the days of a 1920s lounge in Chicago, whiskey in one hand and a cigarette in the other. I love it dude.
Hey Rene! Its just fun to say doo doo! I bet you’re smiling right now. The trumpet is very nice. It’s not me, but I selected the notes! The Session Band apps let me use their musicians royalty free. Not that I’m expecting any!
Whiskey left, cig right… hell… I was doing that in the 80s. You’re probably too young to remember Joe Segal’s Jazz Showcase in Chicago. It was the place to be. I’ll never forget the narrow staircase, and the night we had to squeeze against the wall to let Eddie Gomez and his bass pass us. I think he was with Art Blakey that night. I was directly in front of him. My feet were about six inches from his kick drum. He was high as a kite. So was I. Check this out… scroll down.

Man, I wish those days still existed, but now everybody's "health conscious" these days. 🤣 Can't even vape in indoor public spaces anymore, bwahaha.
But yeah, being in Milwaukee just north of Chitown, I did hear about Joe Segal's Jazz Showcase but never had been there (my parents didn't care for that smokey loungy Jazz, sadly). But I do listen to a lot of Miles Davis. Vince Guaraldi is one of my biggest piano inspirations, and I've borrowed his licks since late 2021/early 2022 when I spent a month and a half learning "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" (very complex piece, but worth it!), which I still perform live at my regular venue in Glendale.
My boss usually plays early Jazz now on the Muzak, which is also great to listen to, but man. Miles Davis is a total vibe.
I got the chance to see Miles at Grant Park shortly before he died. What a memory!
Brother you've been blessed. I would've loved to have seen Miles live in a smokey venue! All I can do is watch his performances via Youtube. ☺️
Great feel on this one… your a magician when it comes to mixing sounds 🪄
Thanks Tony. Please excuse the silly title!
