Loop packs -- how are they generally used?
I recently bought a couple of music bundles from Humble Bundle that included a lot of loop packs or "construction kits".
I am not very familiar with how these are generally used. Do people use them as is, or are they meant to be chopped up, etc?
I got a glam metal pack with one of the vouchers from the bundle. Other than using the drum loop, so far I'm not sure what I want to do with the great guitar licks, etc. Seems like I wouldn't really be able to make a song that's different than anyone else's with the same pack-- which makes me think I'm missing the point of these loop packs.
Just looking for general wisdom

Chop'em'Up, Re-arrange, Load them into a sampler and use as one-shots.
Stretch them to different tempos and use that thing called 'creative imagination'
You could use them in the context of a "remix". Use some components and add some of your own stuff.
But I can imagine it is not that rewarding that way.
Haha True.
Thanks!
