Hainbach & AudioThing | Noises (Detailed 30-min Spoken Walkthrough Vid)
Hainbach & AudioThing | Noises (Spoken Walkthrough & Giveaway - See Pinned YT Comment)
Giveaway details and other info and links can be found in the pinned YT comment. This is an extremely detailed spoken walkthrough of Noises by AudioThing and Hainbach that:
shows you everything you know to use the app
Demos some banks and presets
Helps you identify the common mistakes people make that lead them to wonder ‘Why have I no sound?!’
Very, very importantly - shows you by far the easiest way to load your own banks into Noises. If you don’t know how to do the latter, the process of making your own packs on iOS can be incredibly tedious. Although this video focuses on the iOS version, the vast majority of what is covered is applicable to the desktop (Mac / Windows / Linux) versions too.
I mentioned in this video that - at the time of writing - my giveaway for MolliLooper is still open. You will find that in my archives.
Please remember to help out youtubers you appreciate by not watching behind an adblocker and giving a thumbs-up. Cheers!

Would anyone please be able to tell me when the intro price for this ends?
Not sure. From memory I think Audiothing intro prices for iOS usually last 2 weeks but maybe someone else could confirm?
intro ends May 26th, full price is $19.99
I've asked the dev to put this kind of info in the youtube blurb for his new apps - it's definitely annoying when devs introduce an intro price without giving any idea of how discounted it is or when it will end
That’s good, at least I’ll be able to see how much space the core installation of Logic will need. If it’s too much for my pad, I’ll get Noises instead.
When does your competition for the app end? I never win anything, but I’ve entered as usual!
Winners will be picked about a day and a half / 2 days from now!
Thanks, Gav
No worries!
A little beat-based demo with 4 Noises, Noir, MolliLooper and a few other things:

Bit creepy that. Good, but creepy.
Thnx Monzo!
Also nice to see that a sample based app can handle a decent number of instances no problem - it's certainly not always the case, and a lot of the samples in the Hainbach packs are verrry long.
Noises winners have been picked!

I love this app… however it is really difficult to put together banks. No batch import but then this seems to be an issue with presets on numerous apps. Apple needs to address and improve their crappy iOS file system. It’s maddening! it’s a joke. But for some reason I believe they will keep it because not enough people complain.
Did you watch my video? It shows an easy way to do that.
Yes though, the files system is an absolute fucking joke, and lack of drag and drop functionality in most JUCE ports (including all Audiothing apps) doesn't help either
I’m using Koala - edit 8 samples in that, Export > All Samples to Files, and then grab the .zip from Files via Import Bank in Noises.
Really easy.
This is the way! Or just multi select up to 8 files and compress them directly (not inside a folder)
Anyone that doesn’t have Koala, but uses Noises should get it - it earns its money even just using the sample editing tools. 8 samples, .zip, boom. Then of course you can create an accompanying set of rhythm tracks using the samples you’ve already made in Koala, to accompany the madness from your Noises banks.
Yeah - koala goes really well with Noises - a super handy combo
This walkthrough is so helpful regarding bank imports.
Anyone else find the pitch knob difficult to dial in accurately? I just want to dial an octave down for instance but am having an awful time nailing -12 semitones. I’m always a little off.
