Very nice track
Have fun!
Excellent choice. GeoShred has excellent features for creating new instruments and setting up good MIDI MPE interfaces that can be used in AUM too.
Looking forward to hearing your work as you progress through learning GeoShred’s secrets.
There are some great sounds in geoshred. A lot of them you might want to turn the delay and reverb down, but apart from that, there are some great ones. There are many aspects of the UI I can't stand, but it's a very powerful app. Has a great implementation for custom scales too. Enjoy!
Thanks @NeuM @McD and @Gavinski
Can I use my Linnstrument to control GeoShred Pro if I buy the IAP Swam instruments?
I think so. Here’s a video. And the SWAM patches in GeoShred are controlled the same as their own patches:
Oh wow, I think I need a new Apple Giftcard again. So many great apps to buy.
Sure! And if you have any probs setting it up, just contact Pat from Geoshred - he has a Linnstrument and is the most helpful dev you'll ever have the pleasure of dealing with
Good choice @BerlinFx …
@Gavinski is right, Pat is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.
The main thing to remember when playing the Geo instruments in GS from another controller is to use channel 2 or above.
The other GS sounds including the Naada instruments are fine with channel 1.
Only need to use channel 2 or above for geoswam sounds if the external controller is not an mpe controller tho!
Cheers @Gavinski , didn’t know that 🤨
I already have Geoshred control. If I buy the IAP in Geocontrol for 12cad$, will it be the same result as if I buy Geoshred Pro for 35$CAD?
Do you have a couple of Swam with the naked Geoshred? And what is the price of the Swam in Geoshred? I can make my researsh but if you accept to answer to these questions it will save me a lot of time in exploration.
I think I know how I will spend my week-end
First question, not sure. Someone else would need to answer, or contact geoshred to ask.
No you get no Swam included in the price
Prices vary per store - best you check the prices in your own region.
Cheers!
If you buy the stand-alone SWAM apps, you’ll have more options to adjust sounds to your liking. The in-app purchase SWAM instruments available in GeoShred have fewer options, but I find they sound just as good. Others are free to voice their opinions.
And what about the price? Each app in Canada is $35. Do you get a couple of them free with Geoshred Pro or you have to buy them all in a kind of bundle?
You're saying the SWAM standalone costs the same as the GeoShred in-app purchase? Wow. I'm shocked if that's the case. Personally, I prefer the GeoShred version.
No, I have no idea of the price of the IAP Swam in Geoshred, but I'm curious to know. 35$ is for the standalone version of each Swam app
Just check the geoshred iap prices on the appstore brother! Must be cheaper than that for sure
Here are the GeoShred in-app purchase prices in the US. For future reference, the cost for in-app purchases for all apps is listed in the App Store (you’ll find them listed in a twirl-down menu item below the app description).
Be aware @Montreal_Music that due to some kind of appstore limitation, you can't put the cost of single items towards bundles in geoshred. So if you want to buy the bundles, do so directly, before buying any single instruments.
These are actually great value considering the sound quality, and also the uniqueness of the physically modeled Naada instruments, if they're your cup of tea.
I don't have Geoshred and I cannot see the IAP in Geoshred Control. I tried
But now I found the info, thanks! It's more expensive than I first thought!
That’s a good point, Gavinski. And if anyone is unsure what these instruments sound like, there are YouTube videos on everything. Just do a bit of research.
Thanks!
The SWAM standalone instruments are much more expensive. These are pro-level instruments meant for performance and production.
Good! I heard a sitar in a demo. Is this is the Naada pack or a default sound in GS?
Good to know!
Sitar comes default with regular GS. Naada has some veenas but no sitar.
Which demo did you listen to? MoForte (GeoShred) has demos of everything. Just search YouTube.
