There is also a lot of Bluetooth options, like a Bluetooth mouse, Bluetooth camera button, or a video game controller set up to select what you want.
Yeah I’m pretty sure it’s always been there, I didn’t see this video but has really got my brain firing of how I can use this on my Apc40 too

I just remembered I had a cheap stylus that I used with my phone. I tried to tape it on the end of my stick for a scientific test. Nope it doesn’t work, it needs to be held with a hand so the wire down the shaft attached to material from a touchscreen glove may work. I just tried wrapping my stick in aluminium foil, nope that doesn’t work. It looks cool but 😂
Maybe it’s the way I ask my questions without enough clarity, I did say that I don’t want to use those toy sticks as I’m hitting a spdx sample pad, I want to reach over and gently touch the iPad.(to fire loops, change instrument kits etc in loopy) I’d have to be a bit of a special person if I wanted to hit an iPad screen with wooden drum sticks.. although I am quite special 🤣
I suspect it’s because few people here are drummers and they don’t know the trigger pad you’re talking about.
And of the drummers probably very few can read.
Haha classic! Why do drummers get such a hard time? I’m a guitarist not a drummer but love drums. We always give drummers shit for some reason, why is that? Maybe because they sit up the back of the stage?
Yeah you’re right, in future I will elaborate more. It’s a common thing I do, to presume people know what I’m talking about 😬
Wait, did you just wrap your drum stick in aluminum foil or did you also attach the tip of a touchscreen stylus?
That's what I did here and it definitely worked!!
