in my experience best quality is if you upload 24bit / 44khz file wav ... in that case negative effects of their compression algo are smallest .. lufs doesn't matter that much ..

in general, sound qualit6 is better on Youtube so i am using Youtube instead of soundcloud for long time

Soundcloud is focus on music and YT do better quality for sounds, strange world. Perhaps that now that soundcloud sell preset mastering service in partenariat with Dolby they care less ?

I am just a hobbyist so Spotify and other are not for me. I don’t want to re dive monney for my music .

i put music on YT (and instagram) and if i feel need of " releasing" ( like something more "official", like EP or album) it then i use Bandcamp.com .. it's free, they just charge you small fee for every sold item and then send you money to your paypal address

in my experience YT+Insta has much bigger reach than Soundcloud...
