  • Thanks Mister Doug. Appreciate it.

  • @flo26 you can set the velocity in the step editor. Would be cool to have a slider on the side for real time manipulation though.

@doug, thanks for the video. Am I understanding it correctly: you can, if you like, set a different sample and pattern to each ring? Ultimately having 64 different sounds/patterns?

  • Hmm, if that's true, it also seems like you could import a break, copy the sample to all of the pads and then chop out each one to use as you like. You could almost do a simplified version of Sector style beat shuffling.

Yes that's exactly what you can do

    Thanks for the video!

Does this have humanization and/or swing options?

  • No, @mmp, no swing settings. That'd be awesome, though this is definitely a great app. I'd love to see a separate screen for editing all or some of the individual ring steps at the same time. 64 different samples across 16 steps each, plus a really fun, well organized way to trigger each sequence. Hope this gets an update or two, lots of potential on top of a super solid foundation.

  • Thanks, I'll wait to see how it develops. I do think this does have a new interesting way of arranging drums though.

  • The dev is very open to suggestions and I think that we will see lots of stuff added

The dev must be very grateful to you, Doug.
Great feelings, but a lot o room to improve.
Keeping in mind he'a drummer, I'd like to see some drummer stuff, like flams, triplets, chokes, hh open/close mute each other, etc.
    Congrats for the vid!

  • Great video Doug. I really would like to use this app as a canvas on which to record all kinds of sounds an trigger them to come up with song ideas. This would work like Abletons sessions view.

    1. Can you record into a cell from another audiobus compatible app, for example Jamup?
2 how long is the maximum recording time for a single cell

So you're thinking on a iMPC style with the same layout? Good. But, into this app or in a different app?

I'll buy it later. I'm on holidays, no wifi, my data are close to 0. Please, Doug how much Mb is downloading the free pack?

    Thanks.

  • The whole thing is 64mb but bear in mind that it will increase as you add you own samples

  • Thanks Doug. Got it half way through your vid. Wasn't planning to at all. This Dev owes you.

Am I wrong or each time you choose a pattern style it assign a beat name automatically?

  • Just got it, and it's fun to play around with. But only 4/4? Wish for an update with different time signatures....

  • @Jakersjaw not exactly native but with 32 steps you can bump up the tempo (and lower the resolution) to get different a few different time signatures out of it.

  • @syrupcore ah ok. Guess I need to explore some more :)
