Ha! Maybe I spoke to soon. It's just sleeping for me in Audiobus. It does have a flat iOS 7 look however.

  • Yeah, doesn't seem to work in AB. Tap to open, but when you go back to AB it is sleeping again. An effect added doesn't change the sound at all.

  • Ya, fail. Launch from AB and no panel.

  • Yup. Not working... :-(

  • IAA not working either though info appears in both Bm2 and Animoog about each other

  • What's up with these big names in music production giving us these half-baked AB/IAA implementations? They can't be bothered to test?

  • There is no controls for IAA or AB

  • Not working, not after rebooth iPhone, not when opening Animoog before Audiobus...

Shit, you guys got me excited for the whole of 20 seconds.

Yep, confirmed. It seems like they just slapped the sdk in there randomly and just released the update.

I tried it in Tabletops Mastermind. And it's working. As an instrument.

  • No luck with AB here too, bit this is still pretty exciting. I hope they update the big one with IAA as well.

  • Great news, really. Hopefully this means they will have to task their team on a quick fix.

And if this gets sorted out, hopefully that means a Filtatron update with IAA is not far behind.

I really don't understand how they can push an update to the App Store that simply doesn't work. Quite apart from the fact that Moog should test it themselves, Apple also look at updates, right?

  • I think in general Music apps go beyond what Apple checks for, but yeah Moog shoulda tested this

Or... I shoulda tested this theory that it is broken.

It records just fine into AudioShare as IAA generator and instrument, on an
IPad Mini Retina. Records into GarageBand OK too.

It does not, however, look like they have sent the info to the Audiobus guys. it's not appearing in my AB inputs list. [edit]: the Audiobus implementation is all out of whack, crackles and pops, and hijacked the function of Animoog for iPad within Audiobus.

    Great , a worthless update!

Does at the least the preset saving work now?

Edit: Yeah at least that works, awesome!

  • Works as IAA, so I wouldn't exactly say it's a useless update. But it is a bit weird that they didn't get the AB right,

  • It appeared in my AB list first thing- that's about the only part of the AB implementation that DOES work.

  • iOS7 compatibility just in time for iOS8! Maybe they are aware of the issue and pulled back the iPad release. Betting it will be a quick fix.

Wow, good one! Seems like I've got all the packs now

  • Even worse: I loaded it onto the ipad where it's big brother is. Now Audiobus loads up little bro but not the original! Good call re restoring though!

  • This is still great news! We have to hope (assume?) they will fix it shortly. It did appear in IAA as an instrument and generator for me.

Do all the Animoog packs for iPad also work in the iPhone version? (I just bought the latter). Thought I read that you can iFunBox them over.

  • Be sure to iFunbox both presets and samples.

    omg you're my hero

also on sale for $2.99 US.

Nice gesture from Moog with the preset packs, since Audiobus is not working.

In the meantime, we can run it into Audiobus via Audioshare IAA

  • Oh that is just beautiful. :). This is what we call a value proposition!

  • Either it is a gift and they are slammed, or it is not a gift and they are fixing.

  • But it did just let me purchase the acoustic expansion pack for 2.99.

  • I don't want to pay twice. I'll stick with the iPad version and pack that up. MIDI could be useful on iPhone to use as controller.
