The biggest issue with AUM is WHY the interface is not resizeable.. this is so frustrating having those 4 channels per screen with enormously big faders. Its so weird

Set in Settings->Display&Brightness->Display Zoom: to ‘More Space’ and you will have 5 channels.

    Thanks, will try

Sure, that's one way to do it...

I'd rather have the option to 'minimize' each track to a 'node circle' and zoom them on a need to use basis.
The circle nodes could have quick swipes gestures to adjust pan (left & right) and level (up & down).

The minimized circle could be either the tracks input or the output node and 'routing' could be done by dragging nodes on top of each other, things like that.

In 'arrange' mode a bunch of circles could be selected sent to a bus or put in 'sub folders' (node folder) etc.

I have absolutely now idea what @j_liljedahl has in store for AUM but I'm quite sure it's something :sunglasses:

Darn you @Samu! 😂 Last two days spent my entertaining hour redrawing AUM GUI because of you. Only thing that I got except a failed attempt to condense channels is a ‘Mini Map’ at the top of the window. So we can at least scroll through the project channels and observe signal flow through the small ‘green, yellow and red led’ light. Orange square represents the current main window position.

  • No one cares, not even on Discord official channel, it’s probably because of: 🏝️🍻😎🍹👙🏖️

  • BTW, before anyone spends time trying to redraw AUMs UI to fit more channels, beware how much things it actually has to fit in there with the node knobs etc:

Not sure if this got a plug on the Forum...

AUM Audio Mixer - Really Useful Tips & Tricks - Tutorial for the iPad:

  • Hey @j_liljedahl sorry for bothering. Just wanted to check in and ask about a feature that would be very useful for me.

Is there a chance to implement an exponential/ logarithmic/s-shaped or even customizable curve option in the midi assignment of faders/knobs in AUM?

I assigned the volume for a reverb bus + reverb length to a foot expression pedal but would like the reverb length to increase slower than the bus volume.
I'm sure it also would be useful for filter swells etc.

Sooo many times I've wished I could just bend this little line here ...

I love the simple way you can bend automation lines in Drambo. Something like that, just one handle that you can drag closer to either end and up and down to set the curve would be so useful.

Thanks wim for the visual clarification! I'm glad I'm not the only one hoping for this feature.

That's a good idea and I'll certainly consider it for the future!

Is there anything AUM can do that loopy pro can't?
The main use case for me is loopy pro as a mixer in my live setup as a keyboardist for different auv3 instruments/hardware keyboards and for triggering sounds. If I understand correctly, AUM can do all this, but why should I use AUM instead of loopy pro, when loopy pro can do more? Honest question, I just need a reason to justify as I'm heavily drawn to AUM's slick interface (yes, I'm this shallow ...)

    That would be highly appreciated!
Is there any progress on AUM desktop btw? If it’s worked on at all.
I’ll gladly dump MainStage the moment it’s out.

For what you’re wanting to do, maybe not because AUM can’t loop without adding other AUV3s for it. It has no powerful built in looper like LP does. I like both but generally prefer AUM because I’ve spent a lot of time and years acquiring and learning all of my favorite sequencers. LP is still excellent though.
