Google Hangout
Hi, everyone. I wonder if people are interested in taking part in a Google Hangout. Perhaps general discussion, perhaps on a particular topic, perhaps someone giving a tutorial or backgrounder on a give app or technique. I'm terrible at hosting this kind of thing myself but I would certainly help out in organizing and try to participate. This kind of thing usually starts off strong and dies with a whimper but there's a high level of passion and interest in this community might help sustain it.

Whimper. Yes. We should make a sample of the whimper.
Seriously, the biggest problem has always been getting co-ordinated. I have only a few very narrow windows, primarily Sat&Sun evening, West Coast time. But given that, count me in.
I am a johnny-come-lately hereabouts, but like the idea, perhaps especially as a way when a particular topic or piece of kit (that Damned Different Drummer!) could benefit from the opportunity to share ideas or, specifically, ask questions....
I could jump on same windows as @dwarman, possibly a couple of others. I would love some help getting BM2 to respond to midi (selfishly). David, I may be visiting San Jose more often, we should get some Nor Cal peeps together.
It just occurred to me that we might even focus on an app and invite the developer. Keep it to less than an hour, have it recorded and available for those who can't make it. That would be awesome.
There are a number of such recorded hangouts online hosted regularly, usually on coding, technology, etc. so it is being done.
Single app at a time and adding the dev is a great idea. We'd need a moderator though to keep it moving. I'm thinking our friends @thesoundtestroom might be the perfect hosts. They'd be able to advertise and might be able to make a few bucks somehow to keep on doing what they're doing.
As long as we could promise not to barrage them with any feature requests, devs might be into it too! @sebastian gives good video chat... maybe he'd be willing to be their guinea pig.
I am in favor of this. Even in a webinar format so folks can see as well. Not hard to set up. And eminently recordable for an archive.
Don't make me the first, but this sounds interesting to me
Oh, I'll clear the schedule for @sonosauruas!
