Identifying Pitch enveloppe in different synth

edited May 2023 in Knowledge Base

Is there another term for pitch enveloppe ?

In Poison 303 , it is easy to find. Clearly labeled.

On DRC, i can hear it but I cant find the pitch enveloppe.

Pardon my noobiness. 👏

If I understand correctly what you're looking for, and if I understand DRC correctly—big ifs! :D —tap the MOD-tab in the OSCILLATORS section. There you can set the modulation for the pitch, eg., pick EG 1 as the source and OSC 1 as destination, and set range and amount to taste. (I don't think DRC has specific envelopes tied to just the pitch or anything else but instead uses EGs 1 and 2.)

Thank you for your answer. I am away from my iPad right now. I will try when I get home.

I did not explain myself very well. I am trying to do some riser. In caustic and Poison 202 it is very easy. In other synths I don’t know how.

It works in DRC. That is not very intuitive. How do I find it in other synths?

The more flexible a synth is, the less likely that pitch envelope will have a special name. Pitch envelope just means "use an envelope to modulate an oscillator's pitch". In synths that have flexible modulation, check out how to assign modulation to different destinations. Every synth has its own way of doing things.
