  • Thanks.. here is where I wish I could use Lumbeat’s Drummers in LPi.. yet to learn about LPi’ s drummers and their magic..

    Thanks..

  • I didn't realize the Drummer options compared to GarageBand were so different. In GB, there is a complexity/volume pad where you can manually tweak until you're happy with the result. I'm not seeing this particular UI design for Drummer as an improvement. Hmm.

The GB X Y pad is replaced by the 2 sliders on the left: Complexity and Intensity and the slider on the right is Fill density. The 3 small horizontal lines to the right of the kick and snare variations allows you to select a track for the beat to follow.

  • I honestly prefer to identify drums by style rather that by the drummers name like in GB.
All the features are there, just different UI and categorization of kits and styles.

I agree but in modern music you got so mixt style like jazz funk , jazz fusion , rap hip hop …. Even Electro have overflow 18 différents styles so it become more complex. Not sure that a professional producer think as us.

That is up to the 'producer' to decide...

Say I'm making a chip-tune and know what style of drums I need I can easily find it...
...meaning I won't go looking from drums in 'electro' where chip-tunes has it roots when I need a funk-groove...

A producer things 'style' not 'genre', locking oneself into a 'genre' is close-minded...
