The product page says it is class compliant, so it should work. Dunno if you would need a powered USB hub though.

It may also depend on your iPad model. See this: http://www.akaipro.com/kb/article/1502
I use an apc controller, it works with Loopy bindings or any other app that has learn functions. Powered hub here, but not sure if this actually needs it, my other attachments actually do.
Yea, theoretically it should work I guess. I'm my case it would probably replace both of my old mpk's. I just got the lpd8 to add to the mix to also earn myself a title of an akai freak. I'm using a powered hub but it is real hard to tell how much more load it can take. When the price I the uk comes down a little I think I'm going to get myself one of those pups. Too many buttons to pass![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
akai samurai lol
but seriously i rly hope gumdrops implements midi controller input, that would make apcs/launchpads useful for something other than loopers
Is there any way to have the APC's buttons NOT activate keys on a keyboard, but be something like mute/play/record etc on apps? It automatically does so and I have no knowledge of how to disable that.
Never mind, 3 years old thread![:# :#](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/grimace.png)
Bump
Anyone use one of these with an iPad? Also I read somewhere that you can use the buttons as drumpads??
Just search for the manual. I suspect they will but won't be ideal because they're very small.
