Me again, this time with a hardware question.

My goal is to set up hands-free control for all looper functions other than volume and panning. Not yet thinking about things like activating effects and the like. I'll get there eventually, I'm sure.

So my plan is/was to buy a Morningstar MC8 (or 2) to run LP. I've had one for my Strymon Timeline for a couple of years and LOVE it. Programming it is such a breeze once you get the hang of the desktop Editor and it is rock solid.

Unfortunately, the worldwide chip shortage has hit Morningstar and their pedals are impossible to come by. In January they posted an announcement on their web site's forum that MC8's won't be available before July, if then. And the upgraded MC8 Pro probably won't show up this year. I've got my deposit in with Vintage King for when they finally get the 8's and my first instinct is to hold out for that, but I'd love to hear what other controllers people are using that they love.
