I’m actually getting a bit of gas for this. Sure my iPhone is better in 100 ways but worse in a few… namely battery power, unobtrusiveness and hassle to get it recording. This seems way cool.

Definitely interesting, that instant camera analogy is great, I’ve got tons of great photos I took with a plastic lensed ‘panorama’ camera from early this century, just that sense of fuck it and grab it…

It adds the feeling of being James Bond. if only it came with an slide-open-and-shut mechanism to start the recording

I did find it on Amazon, but also found something similar. Not sure if the audio is the same, but it's half the price and perhaps (for some) the USB-ness of it adds a lot of convenience.

I'm building a Raspberry pi Zero gadget which is much better than this, but it won't be quite as slim. More useful though
Although if you only needed this functionality then I expect you could build a better quality Teensy based recorder which could be nearer that size.
