Sinister Cubasis Bugs
Something is rotten in the heart of Hamburg.
I’m running the latest iOS on an iPhone 13 128gb and the latest ed of Cubasis.
Granted, I’ve got a lot of tracks going and that may go some way to explaining what’s happening.
On my main bass loop, which is not time stretched - I used its tempo as the basis for the track - the crop changes subtly at random points in the song. All repetitions of the part are the same but we’re talking about a variation of up to say 100ms - enough to make it sound really crap. Same for the main drum loop. Also not timestretched.
Fiddling with the audio settings has one positive outcome - if I disable Multi-Core it’s slightly better. But this is not acceptable for a pro ish level app.
And then there’s the lack of ability to fine tune settings. It chooses a few options within the range of the slider - ok maybe it doesn’t matter if it’s not +3db on the dot. But it’s annoying.
The crop issue though, that’s really really bad.

What’s pdc?
Would be super helpful to know which plug-ins if any are being used?
How long is the bass-loop and does it have 100% rock-solid tempo over the entire tracks length?
If possible post some examples of the issues.
Ok will collect some data shortly and display. I would expect this of timestretched loops as the processing is non-destructive but it’s weird with a dry drum loop.
Also plugins: none. I’m not at mix stage yet and everything is audio. But track count is 50 ish, I imagine that is what the issue is.
