MPC One issues

Anyone here using a Mpc one or x etc?
I just updated to 2.11.9 and now it crashes and wont let me install the air delay pro plugin i purchased either.

I seem to be permanently logged in and can't log out. The only tab active in white is the refresh tab. Log out and activate plugin are both greyed out!

Cheers.

The update went ok, it's now I have the issues. I did contact Akai about 2 weeks ago and as yet no reply. Really pissed as well as I want to check out the new delay pro I paid for.

I don't understand why it's so complicated with Akai.

You have to have an Inmusic log in, then an I lok log in then you have to download content managers for the synths! it's a real nightmare TBH. I love this thing and getting the new synths last year for free was awesome but I am losing the will to live with this.

Do you have any effects plugins?

    Thanks

Thanks, just seen it myself about to download it.

  • Just installed 2.12 and the issue is still there.

  • Hopefully you didn't use the internal storage , because if you maxed it , the MPC behaves erratically
Also do a "reset preferences" everytime you update

No I use a 128GB sandisk SD card for all the plugins and I tried the reset preferences. It was fine when I first got the 2.11 update with the extra synth plugins but now it even crashes randomly. I was hoping 2.12 would solve it.

the usual suspects where those 2 , maxed internal storage , reset preferences (and manual dns server for wifi models)
try calling Akai , there is no actual email tech support on InMusic , if you are lucky they'll send you a factory reset image

PS. I no longer have One , but watch MPC forums and fb groups

Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated.

I think Akai do internet chat but as I am in the UK I believe I may struggle to get to do this with work etc as they are US.

The only other thing I can think of is that I use my phone as a hot spot. Basically I connect the Etherent cable to a USB-C adapter and then this goes into my phone and the other end into the MPC. I am wondering if there maybe a conflict somewhere?

But I did use this method for every other update and had no issues. I don't have home wifi, can't afford it and my phone is pretty quick anyway and I have 160GB tariff per month so more than enough data for me.

BTW I did ask in the MPC forum but got no reply.

Could you try setting the dns manually ? something like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1

Yes I think you can input settings manually. What happens if I type 8.8.8.8 or 1,1,1,1?

careful , it's with period not coma
it bypasses the internal dns address .
when you type a domain name , the name is tied with numbers (the IP address) , but it would be inhuman to type numbers to browse for eg audiobus forum , so a service is required to translate this .
8.8.8.8 is form google , 1.1.1.1 is cloudflare , there are plenty more
maybe Mpc OS has a bug and can't resolve the domain name on akai servers ....
