Blu ray burner/writer software for MacOS?
I just bought a MacBook for the first time for the holidays, and since then I haven't used it much because its so different from other OS.
I bought an LG Blu ray burner and it can burn data and movies on Blu ray discs up to 100GB. Thing is I can't find software to burn or write the data.
Does anyone know of [free] Data Blu ray discs for MacOS ?TY

I'm using Blu-ray Player Pro with my LG burner.

Caveat: I do have a couple of discs that the software doesn't recognize, and their support doesn't care.
Are you trying to burn data discs or playable video discs?
Just blu ray Data discs (for backup of files)…making a playable blu ray movie disc would be a bonus too, but i really am looking to make sure my data is safely stored , copied in triplicate and put away
Does the Disk Utility recognize your burner?
What happens when you simply insert blank BluRay media in the drive?
Does this not work for you?

It did ; I was just unsure to click burn after I saw the weird “output” file when I added files
You know something, I was confused when I saw the Alia’s files but now that you showed me the same thing, it may have worked for you? I’ll try it. I didn’t want to click burn when it created another image file to click burn
Maybe that’s what the second part of the burn folder was about
Thank you. I’ll let you know if it didn’t work ; I appreciate you looking for the info
What is the weird output file you are talking about?
A clear, blank “untitled” disc shows up and then a burn folder is also available
When I fill up the folder with Alia’s I click burn and then another output file with a biohazard appears and says disc 2
I think I may have to click burn on another area but I’m missing it
@fearandloathing what does “ When I fill up the folder with Alia’s” mean?
Can you post screenshots demonstrating what you mean?
@fearandloathing : does this help?

That was it exactly
The biohazard sign was clickable and
(The Alias mentioned at the end of the article: it’s some kind of proxy for the file)
It looks like it’s working; thank you for that link
