Joy And Sorrow
Yet another journey into the world of Piano Motifs by @azul3D_Apps. He must be getting tired of me by now, but I just love his creation. This one uses an entirely different approach. Instead of layering several dozen motifs, this uses only one 16 measure motif, applied selectively to 16 different instruments. Sorry Fernando, I did some major editing in the MIDI editor, but you provided me with the starting point.

@Paulieworld, soothing and relaxing. It is always a treat to listen to what can be done with Piano Motifs, even if it's just used as starter point or inspiration. Keep them coming!
@azul3D_Apps Thanks Fernando. I guess I didn't really edit all that much. 10-12 notes in a 16 measure motif really isn't all that much. I did several octave transpositions, though. Already have an idea for the next one!
Too one track vibes feeling and a subtle energy
Liked the feeling here! I could imagine a song with this.
I would like that very much. I just set it up for free download on Bandcamp if you ever wish to pursue that, whether it is an instrumental solo or vocals. I like collaborations. Thanks for listening!
I wonder what generative apps will be like in a few years. You do a great job milking the best out of them… or so it sounds.
@LinearLineman AI seems to be expanding exponentially. Generative apps will probably be able to reproduce Bach to the point where nobody can tell the difference. That being said, where's the fun for the composer? I can sit for hours on my patio playing around with little snippets of music that get me thinking in ways I never would have before. I was a "band" player for most of my life and found it to be very satisfying playing other people's music. I just enjoyed playing in a band for an audience. Making my own music is all new to me and, since I don't play actual instruments anymore, I use things like Piano Motifs, Fugue Machine, Stravinsky, Melodist, etc. to create small bits that I can arrange and stitch together. If I never bought another app, I would still have enough to keep me busy for years. It's a nice, relaxing hobby that keeps me out of trouble. My wife always knows where I'm at! This weekend I was up and at it around 5:30AM. Went through a pot of coffee and had a really nice time. I can see myself doing this for a long time.
BTW - I really liked the piano sound in your recent Duel post.
Oh well, lunchtime is over. Back to work!
I've been experimenting with adding vocals to my own stuff and if I can get that going maybe we can try it. I'll let you know.
Another lovely Paul, Piano Motifs and @azul3D_Apps collaboration 😊
Thank you, my friend. I’m sitting on my back porch right now, working on a backing track for a beautiful guitar piece by @pbelgium. Wish me luck. Have a great day!
The title made me flash back to this classic jam:
This is great! I haven’t heard of the guys before. I think I’m going to try something like this next. Thanks for posting. Peace!
I just saw the new feature coming to Piano Motifs. That's outstanding! Can't wait to try it.
@Paulieworld, it was released today (v4.31), you can go to the App Store and update. Hope you like the new functionality. @GeoTony posted a great demo here:
