Enso updated.

Now with 16 MIDI playable slices. :open_mouth:

The bug where it seemed to drift off in certain hosts (Drambo) seems to be fixed now too.

Also less clicks? Can’t say I notice much difference there.

    It’s quite cool indeed.

But a little goofy only being able to be played when transport/loop is running. I don’t quite see the value when you can just drag/open the clip in any sampler, chop it to 16 slices and achieve the same thing but in a much more controlled way.

Sounds like a pretty cool update. Is it kinda just doing what Segments does?

  • Good to see an update. Hopefully the drag and drop of files will come to iOS as well, although I suspect it'll have to be an update to the Juce framework before we get that.

I was dragging around a small, floating Enso window in Drambo and found it a bit sluggish after the update. Must be a coincidence? Hard to see how an update could cause that.

  • Getting even more pops and clicks now. Thanks for ruining a half way decent looper. Unreal how some of these developers are man.

    Clicks are way worst now…

  • Seem to have found a bug - when i turn input monitor to 'always' I get absolutely no sound and my dB meter in aum spikes to something silly like 60db! Anyone else?

No problem for me. Also no clicks. Nice update.

Ha yeah, it seems to be one step forward two steps back.

After playing with loops per ‘dub in place’ with 6 instances running simultaneously more than half an hour continuously smooth and without crashes (!) I encountered the bug. But occurs only when trigger is set to + and play speed is changed from negative or positive values to 1.00.

Couldn’t figure out how to play the slices….just don’t have the energy to figure it out right now….kinda exhausted of the “ we’ve added this new feature…now you figure out how to use it “ approach lol. Can I use just a midi keyboard or do I have to plug in one with pads and assign them…well at any rate I can live without that feature for now 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • working fine here! more than 2 hours with two instances and no crashes! love Enso! and no clicks!

You just set root note by pressing a key and then that key and the 15 above trigger the slices but only while transport is running. It’s not that useful.

  • That’s great news - it’s a very capable looper.

Ah, previous to turning on monitor all I had indeed been playing around with both forwards and backwards motions, and for about half an hour I guess. Please put in a report to audio damage thnx!

  • Is kind of useful for some things maybe but you need to be careful what you put in. Wish they would make it work while the transport is not running also. Maybe also with ability to set something like an attack / release time for the slices. I like the ticker strip or whatever it's called. At least I'm glad to see audio damage go back to an old app and do a free update. That's a good sign.

Great update. Love the slices in conjunction with the "Play Rev" function

    I have already reported it.
Runs absolutely stable so far, which was not exactly the case in the past. I don't know how the clicks come about with some, I don't hear any.
