MusicPutty 1.2 Major Update - Improved Audio Engine, Multi-Select, Undo/Redo and More.

Link to App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/musicputty-vocal-tune/id6444390100

Highlights:

  • The new improved audio engine now has detailed models for every single overtone that exists in the vocal signal. This helps to achieve higher precision during pitch shifting and gives users cleaner results with fewer artifacts.
  • Multiple notes can now be modified together with the multi-select feature.
  • Project-wide undo/redo.
  • Tracks can now be colored with 8 different color sets.
  • User can now enable live monitoring during recording.
  • Various other UX and performance improvements.

More exciting updates are scheduled for later this year! Check out our roadmap to learn more.

  • Looks great!

  • Solid update 👍
Look forward to testing it out when I get home.

  • @HotStrange Glad you like the update! <3

  • @Mr_Fox Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

  • I finally subscribed for a month to see how it works. I wish there was a way to clean up noise from recorded vocals while recording, like a built-in Brusfri, but so far this is the easiest tuner I've ever used.

Looks great but subscription fee is almost the same as Logic Pro

  • @jwmmakerofmusic Thanks for the feedback! <3 The app is a bit sensitive to noise at the moment. We will look into it and see what we can do.

Sounds good. :) Yeah any spectral noise reduction would be most welcomed.

  • @Thelast27 The app has a free version, give that a try. We will continue to expand the feature set for all users, and our hope is that in the foreseeable future beginners/hobbies will be able to do most of their work on the free version without needing a subscription.

I’m still only using the free version right now but even that is useful. Appreciate the effort to add features to both versions 🙏 not a lot of devs do that.

  • @HotStrange Thanks for the support! <3 Please don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make the app work even better for you.

    Will do 👍🏻

  • @MrSmileZ AUv3 support is coming later this year.

    😮 awesome.

    👍

  • As I said above, I finally caved and subscribed, lol. I haven't found anything easier to use on iPad outside of the Waves Tune RT method in Cubasis 3, and I think I'll stick with MusicPutty for more than a month. VocalTuneStudio is amazing, but not as "hands on" as MusicPutty, and with AUv3 coming soon, well that settles it doesn't it now? :)

  • I won’t be able to resist once it goes auv3

At least until LP4i gets Flex Pitch, but then again, will Flex Pitch be as easy as MusicPutty? 🤔 All we can do is wait and see.

  • Something has been going on with Logic Pro and Flex Pitch for a while…
I wonder (not a rumor or anything I’ve read or heard) if they are making it polyphonic like melodyne.
Would they do this to compete with studio one as melodyne tech is what it uses?

  • @jwmmakerofmusic I am actively preparing for the day when Apple brings Flex Pitch to iPad, and there are several features we are planning for MusicPutty that are intended to "one-up" Flex Pitch/Time. (Those features are not all documented on the roadmap at the moment to keep them a bit more exciting when we reveal them later on. ;) )

  • @Telstar5 Thanks for the feedback!

Well then, seems like you plan to add polyphony to MusicPutty since afaik, Flex Pitch doesn't do polyphony. ;)

Polyphony is a very hard problem to crack, but we will see ;)

NICE! Well if you do pursue that, best of luck mate. Hopefully my monthly contribution goes towards that research and hard work. :)

A sneak peek of what is coming in the next 1.3 update.
Move notes horizontally, copy/paste, delete, MIDI export, and more

  • Is this a pitch correction tool?! Hmm. Does it 1) do pitch shift? and 2) export as MIDI? Also 3) is there a single payment option like VTS?

    1. Yes
    2. Midi export is coming in the next 1.3 update and we hope to have it released sometime next week.
    3. MusicPutty has a free version and a pro version that requires a subscription which helps to fund the project's continuous development.
