Reggaeton garbage thread
So after living in Mexico for a year and now visiting Colombia for a month I’ve learned to despise Reggaeton. How can people like this garbage? These are certain types of music that I really don’t care for like country or American idol pop stuff, but I seriously hate this trash and the stupid people that listen to it. I’ve had some artist come up to me in Colombia and start rapping to me and I literally told them to get the f..k out of my face. These Latino countries have taken the beautiful dancehall music of Jamaica and turned it into trailer trash. I wish they all would just disappear one day.

Searched Raggaeton.
The first dudes ( mix )
is Dj Looney.
It's a matter of taste.
I'm not a fan of reggaeton by any means, but then again I'm a fan of glam metal-- so talk about two irrationally hated genres. Having grown up with reggaeton in my late teens, I could not escape it if I wanted to party, and inevitably I found some tunes to like.
This is one of the only reggaeton cds to come out that I actually bought, though I don't really spin it that often.
There is not an ounce of taste in Regaaeton.
MC BV and the Harmonic Orchestra.
lol.
The old time Colombian music I hear is beautiful though.. maybe I’m just getting old
That's probably it.
Taste is subjective. I'm pretty sure people who like reggaeton, and there are many, would be more than happy to rip into your tastes as well.
I bet you never heard this before.

Haha these are the idiots that have been in my face a hundred times while I’ve been down here. I literally shake my hands at them and say basura, which is garbage in Spanish.
I love Reggaeton
Original..
Ha-ha, I came in here with the intent to shame you for hating with some moral posturing, but after having felt the great satisfaction that came with watching them New Yorkers getting ripped apart in the first video that @hacked_to_pieces shared, it would simply be hypocritical of me😂🤣
Seems to me the kids are having fun and being creative. Better than gang-banging.
I used to feel like that about rap until I grew up lol
Exactly!
Better than gang activities and such.
But yeah, I find it rather pointless to hate on any genre whether or not I like listening to it. I like Reggaeton, but I'm not "in love" with Reggaeton. I really don't care to listen to Country, but I don't go out and hate on the genre. French House on the other hand I absolutely am obsessed with. But everyone's tastes will differ, and that's cool. Your mileage may vary.
Maybe it’s because it’s been all I’ve been hearing. You can’t complete hip hop to this garbage. Hip hop was original. This is a complete ripoff of Jamaican dance which I still dj to this day. These artist have no talent and the beats are blatantly stolen with cheesy, annoying sounds over them. Bad Bunny… lmao.
Sounds like sour grapes to me.
I am no stranger to the Bad Bunny and reggaeton hate. I have family members who hate reggaeton and Latin trap. They probably hate hip hop and rap too. One of them rants about reggaeton every other week on social media. I can think of more productive ways of spending that time.
I used to think Bad Bunny had no talent until I heard a modern salsa song that I ended up liking. I thought it was an original by that group at first, but it turns out it was composed by Bad Bunny. That made me re-evaluate his output.
I'm not a fan, and I don't listen to all his output. But from what I've heard, I can tell he knows how to write a hook and a catchy melody which is why he is as successful as he is. That isn't an easy feat.
