Here is a mashup for my best friend Mamimi featuring Lowtone for the bass and BA-1 for the synth brass and of course Korg Minipops for drums. The three tracks samples are...
Sub Urban - Cradles (the main track)
Electric Mantis - Day Break (a couple stabs here)
The Deli - Flowers (a couple stabs there)
If you enjoy this track, comment below. Cheers and enjoy.

Dope 🔥 great vibe!
Cheers mate. Glad you dig it. 😎
What are you using to process the drums? They sound squashed all to hell and I love it 🤩
Fantastic work! That vocal sample in particular is perfecto 🤌🏻🤌🏻
Aww thanks mate. Well, I used a combination of Beef followed by WooTT. I wanted those Minipop drums to really...pop. x'D The infamous drum machine of Jean-Michel Jarre. I gave Mamimi a selection of various elements, and she chose the three songs ("Cradle" is where I got the vocal sample from), the drums, the hard electro bass (which Lowtone lent itself to flawlessly), the Mellotron strings, and the synth brass.
She made all those decisions, and I simply went with the flow of creating the mashup and arrangement, etc.
Which Mellotron app you using? Mellotron are a top 5 instrument ever for me.
The Minipop is indeed a classic! One of my favorite drum machines also. Wish there was an AU for that on iOS. I have it in DM1, and it sounds great there. Beef is one of my go to “drum sound good-izers”. Haven’t tried Woott after it yet but I need to.
I'm using the Mellow pack in Module Pro. I don't know of any other Mellotron romplers out there that would suit me as well as Module Pro, which is a very stable app for me.
Oh I use the KB6 samples in Slate for the Minipops sound. The toms as I mentioned are "live recorded" acoustic toms, but I shortened the tails of them so they didn't ring out and muddy up the mix.
Oh wow I really gotta hop on those KB6 samples then bc that sounds fantastic!
I usually use Sampletron or Mellowsound for my Mellotron sounds, but that’s just because I love to tweak them. Something about that instrument struck a chord with me early on and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. I was covering one at like 10 years old 😆 the Korg pack sounds amazing though! And is great to get into it quickly. Have you tried LoFi tape? It’s going for the same thing sorta and sounds amazing!
They are top quality drum samples! You can download individual packs, or donate and get all at once. Of course he no longer has the Roland or Boss samples up since Roland went stingy regarding their sounds being copywritten and got rid of ReBirth.
LoFi Tape? Oh I'm well acquainted with Lofi effects, but not sure the app you're talking about. Got a link?
Smokin!
Cheers mate. Looking forward to our collab.
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lo-fi-tape/id1591581486 This is it! It’s a mellotron type ROMpler. The IAP for the extra sounds is well worth it too.
What the...? I already purchased it AND the expansion? 😂 Well okay it's Christmas in June.
Hahahaha 😂 gotta love when you forget you have an app. It really does feel like like that. Well, merry christmas 😆
Hahaha! 😂🤣
So much energy, it’s too much for morning coffee in a good way! Love what you did with BA-1, if it’s responsible for leads. Background section (0:35-1:00) instant flash back from times where gaming console rooms existed, nostalgic. You tamed that bass really well, it’s not in your face but rather a constant energy boost. Need to listen on subwoofers so I can say more. Great work, keep up with it. 😎
Yes it is. The "synth brass" is BA-1 ran through WooTT. 😂
Nice! 😎
WooTT definitely is the secret sauce. ☺️
Cheers mate and thank you.
