This app is a lot of fun. I don't have Different Drummer but the principle is similar, but I think this seems more accessible and better value.
The big difference is that DD waves interact with rhythm and pitch, whereas Oscillators waves are for pitch and synth parameters.
I'm sure I will return to this, but as is perhaps typical with apps it seemed to come out (or land on my iPad anyway) in the same window as Beat-Wave and of the two I ended up a) spending more time with Beat-Wave and b) sort of lumping the two together in my mind...it wouldn't be the first five dollars I'd spend on an app, but if I had most of what I needed already it would certainly be worth the next five bucks...
I like it too. Would like it even more if it had midi.
Still on sale,i must admit it looks very interesting.Does it swing as well?Does it in any form sync to Cubasis as IAA?

yes,i already did that.Didn't saw the trial before.No swing unfortunatly but still a lot of groovy things possible with all the automation stuff.But i'm a swinger
Hope they'll put it in a future update.I'll play with it arround a little more now.
And what i cannot try is the IAA integration.
i bought it and really like it,i have some wishes though (already sent mail to dev :-)
The most important things for me would be:
1.Swing.Global or -better- for each track
---------2.Loops/tracks less than one bar long,for polyrhythmic heaven!
