I looked all morning but couldn't find an answer to this question - how many tracks are available in Notion's mixer, and can you export each track as a stem, or just a stereo mix? If I could get 12-16 tracks separately into Auria, (via Dropbox) now THAT would be soooo worth the 8 bucks
Maybe I am wrong -- but does think look like 50?

There's a mixer track for each instrument you add. There doesn't seem to be a limit. I just tried adding 40 plus instruments and it worked ... though you may end up with CPU and memory issues. Export is limited — no stems option — you'll have to go in and solo each track and export it, but doing that you'll be able to get your 16 tracks into Auria seperately no problem.
That pic is for the PC version. No bus system and inserts for the ipad version unfortunately.
Thanks again for the info, very good to know
BUUUGEEERRRRR!!!
So I really have been holding off on upgrading my IOS -- but then I really wanted this app so decided to upgrade to IOS8 -- and half way through the upgrade I notice its upgrading to IOS9!!
Oh well... I guess I will be the first to report of any instability on this forum
white screen of death :-(
... how's it going on ?
... and how's it, that I can't change an instrument, edit: ok w/ a new project, and bluetooth midi not reacting (?) i.e. virtual midi? Playing from ext. keyboard is polyphonic, that's good; w/ midiflow. Taking away rev. in the mixer's master stopped distorted audio / or initiates it (?) ...
i pulled the trigger and got notion. waiting for it to download.
I have been using Notion for a couple of years now. I quite like it, but it has it's quirks. It can be a bit agonizing to change things in the middle of a composition, like trying to change out a half note for a bunch of 16th notes mid bar. But it does what it's supposed to do. I haven't done much midi work, so haven't tried exporting midi yet. I'm on the Auria Pro trial, so I'll be having a go at that, for sure. I have most certainly been having fun composing "away from the instrument". And Notion really does allow me to do that. I did export a score as music XML a couple of years back, and tried to inport into one of the desktop freeware notation apps. Wasn't good, but I don't know which piece of software was at fault, or whether it's just that music xml is not a tight enough standard to work well.
