AUv3 effects multi out

Forgive me if this has been covered, I looked through the Logic Pro category and didn’t see it covered specifically. Is it possible to use multi out AUv3 effects in Logic Pro. I know it works for instruments, I can’t figure out how to do it for FX. I really want to use Scatterbrain in this way especially. When I go to replace it, it says mono but there are no other options for routing to a bus or anything.

  • Hey - bumping this because it didn’t get a comment. I love Scatterbrain but do not own Logic Pro. Did you ever find out?

  • I don’t even remember commenting this lol. Life has been crazy for me since then. I haven’t had time to mess with logic much tbh. I just jam with loopy pro when I have time any more, sorry. Scatterbrain is awesome! Still use it a lot! Only the multi out feature with AUM unfortunately.

  • Logic for iPad is definitely missing a handful of features. I hope and believe they will continue to slowly update it.

I have used Logic since 2005 or so. Looking back from Logic 8 to 9 to X…and then all the updates since 10 landed, they do update things at a decent regularity throughout the year…although it might be seen as a bit slow, depending on your level of patience.

As far as multi-out, I haven’t personally tried to find a workaround for multi-out in Logic, but I bet it is possible it will be soon. Since someone figured out how to create a workable side chain to any audio with Klopfgeist as a dummy instrument, then adding a null Compressor, feeding it audio, and running it in Listen mode…that was a genius bit of creative problem solving. I know that others are going to pop up as Logic gains more serious users.

So, I believe that creative problem solving will be helpful until Apple adds the myriad of missing yet necessary features.
