maybe time to try make track with Caéum Audio only plugins :-)
Haha, now ball is on @NeuM side, he called you up, now is the time for him to spill the beans. 😂
Btw i am really impressed by Choric .. until now FAC Chorus was my Chorus no.1 on iOS but this is even better in some details ..
What a treat! Top laughs. Synth sounds great. Changing the colour is simple and smart.
Big thanks @CaelumAudio !
Ya, but what is the name of the original color?!
'crack' is quite a nice chord-like waveform
I don't know but I got lost in colour names. It likes turquoise but not taupe. Crimson but not ruby
Haha. I've bought all of those on both iPadOS and macOS. 👍
And this is probably as good a place as any to note for @CaelumAudio that the SUBscription plugin (which I downloaded directly to macOS from the Caelum Audio web site) failed validation in Logic Pro for macOS.
And here's the AU validation result (crashed):
intentionally spends time programming free mono synth (most likely as a pathway to a full future synth, unless they’re true purists for a good joke)*
“Can u make this a poly? Needs poly”
That’s happening after upgrading on some plugins, try to re-validate after you start upgraded standalone.
INSTARENT!!!
Thanks for flagging this one up. Interestingly the (unreleased) AUv3 that Logic was loading by default wasn't failing. The latest update (v1.0.2) should now fix this for you.
It technically is a poly capable synth that is limited to 1 voice. Whether there is a way of turning on more voices or not is for the community to decide!
original colour is "blueprint" - naturally!
Also, v1.0.2 is in app review on iOS. It may solve the reported launch crash.
blame html for that!
How is Tape Pro? I already have a ton of tape apps and avoided this one after reading about a bad popping noise a while back. Did they ever get fixed? It’s the last app from Caelum I don’t have and I’d like to support them by buying it, but also don’t wanna destroy my headphones.
Choric is my favorite chorus app now. I still think for pure lushness FAC may have it beat by a smidge but Choric is so powerful and can do so much. It can really make anything sound good.
I was the one reporting on the severe popping noise from Tape Pro. As long as you’re aware of the problem and you studiously apply a limiter (something I admit I don’t always remember to do) it’s fine. I’d really rather every plugin which can cause these horrific popping sounds (Tape Pro isn’t the only one) had a built in limiter.
I thought that was you but wasn’t 100% sure which is why I asked. Thanks! I may grab it while it’s on sale. I’m just a sucker for a tape effect and they all sound somewhat different and unique to my ears.
I actually recently made an AUM template with 8 empty tracks and the built in limiter on all of them so I can start a project and already have a limited there just in case I forget. I make a lot of noisy stuff so I have to conscious of that.
Ive never had a prob with clicks on Tape pro, certainly nothing anywhere near headphone destroying sonic possibilities. I also have a few other 'tape' apps but this one def has a unique vibe.
Appreciated! I think Tape Pro is the only one I lack. It’s only $3.99 right now so I think it’ll be worth it. All other Caelum apps are fantastic.
That’s a steal. Tape Pro is really good and very deep - lots to explore. I have never had problems with popping.
@CaelumAudio The description for the SUBscription synth on your website is hilarious!
I'd be interested to know is everyone getting on with the modulation system in SUBscription? Everyone worked out how to remove/assign modulators?
David
I was a little confused initially, but it didn’t take a huge amount of figuring out. I like it now!
It’s been pretty easy for me so far! I figured out how to undo modulators by accident and it took me a minute to figure out what the hell I did initially lol , but it’s implemented well overall.
Yeah it looks fantastic. Gonna be picking it up later tonight to see how it stacks up against ChowTape and Reelbus, which are my favorites right now. And Wires, too.
all @CaelumAudio plugins are great. No regret buying them. Excellent tools.
I think it would be great if it had a poly switch or something in that spirit! The more possibilities the better.
Sounds like a call to arms for the willing in an Easter egg hunt of epic proportions…
