Has anyone else seen this? OMG let this make it to ipadOS!
Amazing.

  • The dev has said before he wants nothing to do with Apple’s app ecosystem. Shame, it would be awesome for touch.

  • Supposed to be Q3 this year

  • He changed his mind? That’s great!

  • What? Holy moly take my money if that’s true

  • His creations are fantastic. Would be great to see them on iOS.

Sh*t! That's incredible! 😲 If that makes it to iOS, aww man that'll be a treat.

Synplant 2 is expected Q3 of this year, but I thought it will only be a desktop version?
When it's released for desktop I'm buying it, if it's also for iPad I'm buying that, too. I enjoy Synplant 1 very much and version 2 seems like it will be an excellent update.

  • Ok, thought some people had read some new comments from the dev. I was part of the beta team for the first synplant and at least then he seemed very against the idea of porting the plug ins for iOS. But that was years ago and I no longer participate in that beta so no idea if this has changed.

  • I had this on the desktop many moons ago.

  • This will be desktop only.
Magnus has made it clear he is not interested in porting anything over to iOS .

  • So porting to iOS is just idle speculation by the sound of things.

  • Darn it! What if we paid full price? I’d pay full price for it on iOS especially if it was a 1:1 port.
Especially if it was a bogo or buy one get one half off…cuz I would want this in both iOS and macos

  • Watched a few videos of it today. It does seem pretty amazing.

  • Starting at 3:50

  • I bought this and it really is very special. I love it already!

It's not just that it can imitate a sample - the iterations on the way to the end result can yield even more interesting sounds that came - as it were - from nowhere. Totally inspiring.

  • Sad this won’t be in iOS =(…..

Pretty unlikely I would say. Same with so many other great desktop instruments due to the sheer effort involved in porting to the iOS platform.

Same here, possible uses of this technology, using more robust forms of synthesis could produce exact emulations of real world sounds, but to be honest I like imperfection, it brings forth the myriad of possibilities.

  • Just released a sound bank for Synplant 2 called Electro-acoustic Explorations. I made it resynthesizing, tweaking and polishing sounds from my pianos, gongs, crystal and tibetan bowls, handpans, and rare world instruments processed by modular synthesizers and other experimental electronic devices.

99 presets including Pads, keys, bells, leads, fx, atmospheres, basses, sonic evolutions...

All sounds have an organic flavour where the electric and the acoustic converge, and are suitable for all types of music, from ambient, electronic, cinematic, to neoclassical and world music, especially for those looking for new timbres to apply to their productions.
