Candelion - Give Me Your Attention (JWM Remix) (my brief return to EDM)

So I recently signed up for EpidemicSound. The good news is for a monthly subscription, you have access to their catalogue and can even download stems for many of their songs. The bad news is, the Candelion song didn't have vocal stems available, only drums, bass, instruments, and melody. So, I had to separate the vocals from the mix with Koala.
Anyways, I dumped the vocal stem and instrument stem into LP4i and timestretched them to fit the faster tempo. Fantastic-sounding stretching algos.
Then, I created an EDM remix around that. I used drums from Image-Line's Superdrums 8000 and The Lofi Box. The main Slap House bass is Lowtone, and the rest of the synths are Obsidian. The pizzi sound is from Image-Line's Generic Samples. The instruments you hear are all from that instrument stem in LP4i.
Overall, this was just a fun way to spend an afternoon. I can't recommend Image-Line's classic sample packs enough! Sure they're over a decade old, almost two decades old, but man they still slap!

I heard it just after my flight to Split Croatia where I participate to Ultra Europe 2023 EDM festival , and you comeback to EDM meanwhile. To my opinion you need too to carryon to go still in that style too.

Yeah, it was fun to dive back into EDM for once, lol. But, I think my next piece will be Ambient in AUM using miRack as an effects rack. So something semi-generative. Not sure if I'll use Noises for the drone, a random sample from freesound.org, or a combination therein. 🤔 Decisions, decisions, decisions, lol.

I went through a Lofi stint Winter 2022-2023. I love Minimalism and Minimal Techno (Richie Hawtin's music basically lol). I love Jean-Michel Jarre and now was introduced to Manual Göttsching, so synth music. I produced this genre...
...which I have no idea what it is, but sounds wizard. I love how I programmed the drums to sound like a realistic breakbeat. Reminds me of Fatboy Slim in a way.
And I do fancy the French Touch like Daft Punk and Justice and tried my hand at microsampling.
As far as genres I haven't produced (yet), I love Rock n Roll, Metal, most Country from the 2000s and earlier, Western Classical Music, Jazz (I'm way huge on Vince Guaraldi and Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong), traditional music from other cultures around the world that aren't European (especially Ecuadorian pan flute music like this...)
(Actually, I did produce this San Juanito music before.)
So basically everything, including white noise when I go to sleep. 😂 (I have a mechanical white noise machine.)
I'm also recently learning to appreciate Outsider Music as a genre. I used to snidely laugh at The Shaggs' "My Pal Foot Foot", not understanding the song, let alone the history and legacy behind it. But, it's fascinating.
I vote for the summer of metal. 🤟🏻🤟🏻
