I wrote this after seeing Sound Of Freedom. I tried to capture the angst and despair I felt at the time. I highly recommend seeing it. I enabled downloads for anyone that would like to add something.

Nice Paul
Good arrangement balance
I liked how your piano was used basically as rhythm and percussion . I also like your synthesizers complemented the backing track of piano , it’s a very mellow track.
Did you use SWAM or modeled strings and stuff? Did you play anything acoustically? And cool vocal effects, what did you use on that?
As always, good listen
@fearandloathing This started out with a few Piano Motifs phrases played with Pure Piano. I edited them in the piano roll to make them more “ambient” sounding and added those three little notes that repeat a few times. The string sound is actually DRC playing one of the MIDI phrases. I was really surprised with that and kept it. The occasional bass bits were, if I recall correctly, some patches from Animoog with all of the high end rolled off. The rest of the parts were just random synth phrases that I thought sounded nice. I was trying for an overall ambient feel, but I like some structure. There are basically two parts, A and B. The third part is just overlaying the two with only the piano playing. The vocal bits are from a few Blocs Wave packs. I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for listening!
I just remembered, the solo violin was Thumbjam with a ton of reverb.
I really like this and saved it for repeated listens. I love the interwovenness of the elements, and i love the elements themselves.
Yes, DRC is just one of them synths that I cannot bring myself to delete.
@Blipsford_Baubie Hey BB. Do NOT delete DRC! It’s far out. When I walked out of the theater I couldn’t decide whether I should get on my knees and pray, or go kill someone. I’m a grizzled old gray and very little bugs me, but I cried like a baby. Thank you for listening. I appreciate that very much.
A real grower this one. Just listened to it twice and it’s quite hypnotic with that three note motif. Nice work Paul 🙏
Thank you Tony. Three’s a charm.
