Ocean’s Lament

Named after one of my favourite presets in the Roli Noise Melody app, now unfortunately Abandonware 😢
The other presets used from Noise are The Stranger, Templehead and Fluid Acoustic Bass.
The ‘bells’ are Belltree Classic from the BeatHawk World Percussion pack.
All of the above are played by Piano Motifs.
I am playing GeoViola with GeoShred.
Effects TB Reverb, Sounds from the BBC Sound Effects web site.

  • Oh wow, that’s beautiful! And haunting, when the viola comes in and shifts the mood.

  • You made that viola express its lament in this track. I liked the unexpected glissando around 3:20, which I think is repeated later. The sound effects fit perfectly.
Too bad Roli Noise doesn't offer their packs anymore, they have some good sounds (Ocean's Lament being one).

  • That is absolutely beautiful.

  • Gorgeous track! It gave me a misty, coastal Celtic vibe. Really nice!

  • Bless you my children 🙏🙏🙏🙏 ( @bygjohn @azul3D_Apps @Strangechilde @AlterEgo_UK )
Yes shame about Roli, still one of the best sets of MPE sounds available IMHO.
Thanks Colin, that’s exactly what I was going for 😊

  • Beautiful track. I agree with Colin that it has a distinct Irish vibe. My mother was Irish and listened to the Irish American radio program every Saturday morning. This brought back some nice memories.

  • The Celtic sound is so unique. It’s just made for all the period Irish and Scottish movies we love. You do it justice, Tony.

  • This is really good Tony! You kept it simple, which I believe is key. It takes the listener on a journey, and tells a story with only a few notes.

  • Gorgeous. That solo gives me goosebumps.
