Cheers, @lala, forgot about that page.
Counting, that's 122 in the iOS8 Ready page out 541 on the main apps page.
After scrolling 800 times to load them all, you can run this in your browser's console to keep track of where we're at:
I have a feeling we won't see a separate event for iPad Air2
It will just be released the same way as MacBooks etc.
According to the keynote yesterday, the new A8 chip only offers a 25% increase in CPU performance over the A7, and since the iPad probably won't be getting NFC for ApplePay (and maybe not event the TouchID sensor) I doubt there will be enough new stuff to warrant a whole event. The only other improvements in the iPhone 6 is the camera and built in barometer, which hardly seems fit for the iPad either.
Would be nice with 2GB ram, but rumors has it that event the iPhone 6 Plus with FullHD display still has 1GB, so don't hold your breath ;-)
We'll see soon enough.
That was a lot of PR yesterday. Replacing the wallet ... lol
What about driving licenses and ids?!?
Btw no word about an iPod Touch 6.
Wich is good news for me, because then iOS8 won't slow down my iPod Touch 5.
iPod is no more from what I've read.
And I haven't read anywhere that both of the iphone 6 models will have the same amount if ram. Apple doesn't ever comment on the ram so it's nothing we'll know until they're released into the wild. But it does make sense for them to all have the same ram. Just saying we don't *know for sure. The two phones *are different though. We definitely know that they'll have different ui's. Not impossible to think that the plus model might have more ram at this point. All of that aside, though, I don't disagree with the strategy of keeping the Eco system intact by making sure the user experience is the same across the board. We'll see soon enough though.
ipod is no more? Really? Huh. I don't care for data plans, scratch that I hate them. I planned on getting a new ipod at some point after an ipad. Hmmm.... Is it possible to use an iphone without a service contract, as an ipod?
Absolutely that's possible. Ask my kids. They love it when daddy upgrades his phone.
Actually the iPod Touch is still available, it's the iPod Classic with the wheel that was discontinued.
Which, by the way, I'm probably not going to do. I actually think the size of my phone right now is perfect (5). I don't notice any sluggishness with the UI and since the 6 doesn't offer a sea change as far as processing power goes, I might skip this version too.
That makes more sense @richardyot. Thanks for clarifying.

There's plenty of iPhones with no network selling at lower prices as for spares and repair.
Hm, the watch knows the difference between a tab and a press. That's interesting. I could use this on the ipad. To Bad its not multi just single press/tab.
Yes, there appears to be "tap" functionality on the home button on the new iPhones now too (not to be confused with the current "press" functionalities. Single and double taps on the home button have different effect.
There is also a finger angle sensitivity in iOS 8 (a beta i´m testing use this.... sadly i don´t have iOS 8 yet).
...and triple hopefully. Need the guided access.
Speaking of iPads, there's supposed to be an 12" large screen iPad Pro that's coming out early next year. I'd imagine the Pro will come with 2+ GBs of RAM.
"Apple iPad" already suggests a premium tablet. "Pro" suggests even better. 4GB ram please![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
c'mon Apple, wow us again! make something magical.
I'm wowed already
yeah, me too! There's no doubt there is a lot of wow factor here in iOS land already. But for me its coming from amazing devs who are making great music apps, and taking advantage of the well designed hardware and OS ecosystem.
I'm just ready for Apple to do it again with something big. Its been 4+ years of incremental improvements in iOS. Which is great, but not exactly wow or leaps and bounds beyond the competition.

Last year's iPhone 5S was the fastest phone on the market. You've got iCloud, iTunes Match, etc. IOS and the A7 are 64 bit. Plus iOS is a more stable operating system and Android's user interface is ass backwards. lol

This was definitely a wow. I guess as a consumer, the law of diminishing returns is at play. I just want more! :-)
We've got the CPU(APU) and the OS, now all we need is the RAM. The large screen on the iPad Pro will also be nice.
Apple totally wowed me yesterday by giving me some moniez for once. 10 bucks or so, but hey, that's enough to buy a new random awesome iOS synth.
And 5GB additional iCloud space on top of that "for being a loyal iCloud customer", or something along those lines. They sure know how to keep customers paying for those overpriced iLemons they've been shoving out the last couple of years. They gots me by my balls.
@ChrisG Sounds like you don't like Apple very much. Do you own any Android devices?
