I’m with Roger Waters and Brian Eno hoping for sense and peace.
“He who wishes for peace must prepare for war.” “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” And, most pertinently: “You cannot negotiate with a tiger whilst your head is in its mouth.”
I respect Eno enormously as an artist. (Roger Waters, not so much.) But right now, Ukraine needs every weapon it can get its hands on to, frankly, kill, and kill again, kill many, kill effectively, wound, maim, destroy, end or wreck young men’s lives, because these things are what war is - until the Russian people tire at last of their children being sacrificed to an old man’s delusions of imperial power, sufficient to stop.
We are a despicable species, an infestation on the Earth. But some individuals are more despicable still. It took many deaths to stop Hitler. It will take many deaths to stop Putin. But, almost certainly, less than it will take to allow him and other greedy, deluded leaders have their way with the rest of us. Let him take Ukraine, and then… Poland? Lithuania? Finland? When is enough, enough?
I understand that many in Europe and America are tired of the war in Ukraine. My respect and gratitude for your reminder of the struggle of the people of Ukraine for freedom. I am a disabled wheelchair user and I was forced to leave Kyiv in order to save my family (and, first of all, my underage daughter) from the vile attack of Russian fascists. My studio and the opportunity to work and provide for my family remained at home. I am infinitely grateful to Germany and its hospitable people for their great help and support, but being a refugee is not what I expected from the approaching old age. Despite this, I had the opportunity to record an album dedicated to the struggle of the people of Ukraine. I am very ashamed that I once respected Roger Waters and Brian Eno and considered them Artists with a capital letter. I don't know at what point they sold their souls to the devil, and their conscience to the Russian fascists, and supported these murderers and rapists, but this is a fait accompli. Eternal shame. Glory to Ukraine.

Roger Waters name has been placed along with many others on a Ukrainian kill list for his stance for peace. Some on this list have been ‘liquidated’ now that’s disgusting.
