Fred Anton Corvest (FAC) Brings Bandit to macOS!
And it's on sale right now (50% off). Of course I bought it immediately to bring balance back to the Force.

Good on him for making it a separate purchase. 👍🏼
I don't feel like I should get desktop versions of apps for free.
That's completely up to the developer. When apps are good they'll quickly find their audience.
if this is the future of audio apps, im all for it. I love having one central hub for all the different dev's. makes things so much easier for me. Instead of having to worry about what installer to download, is it updated, what authorization login, etc etc etc.
I know it sucks for the dev's a bit, as apple takes the cut, but hey, better security, streamlined user experience etc, maybe it outweighs the negatives? idk.
just bought, and bought all the IAP, including a tip. Does anyone know if Bram has a tip jar in any of his apps?
Fred Corvest chose to distribute and sell through the App Store, so for him and his business the benefits outweigh the costs. Personally, I far prefer being able to update through the App Store. It is a major inconvenience having to establish a new account, working with (often times) clunky or poor implementation of a sales system and then after the sale having to check constantly for updates if such a mechanism is not already built into a developer's software.
For the sake of the customers, I urge all developers to sell and distribute through the App Stores.
exactly this. im loving the app store. I have so many plugins (hoarder, but i do use most of them) and having to figure out which installer, which update, what my login is, etc etc etc, can be extremely daunting.
Do we have an official list of iOS apps that have migrated to desktop going?
I did start one some time ago, but most people seemed more interested in the iOS/iPadOS side of things then, so I didn't bother updating it.
