Speak to Me
@shirbeats kindly pointed out that there was a new preset pack available for ChordJam called Colorful.
This has the description ‘Chord progressions for R & B, Pop and Hip Hop’, so following the principle I used for this album
this track which uses the ‘Speak To Me’ preset from the new pack is none of those things 😊

Nice… I need to check out that ChordJam Preset Pack. I’m sure you added some excellent touches… it sounds like Roli Noise presets and some nice hand pan percussion, I’m guessing.
Good grief, there’s some great stuff in Creations this morning, and this is one of them!
Lovely atmosphere, and I thoroughly approve of “misusing” something supposedly genre specific.
A nice relaxing piece - a complete contrast to the other two rather unnerving pieces I listened to today!
Ambient lullaby.
Cheers @McD , just one Roli noise preset but lots of other apps which are listed in the description on SoundCloud).
Interesting that it comes over as hand pan, it’s actually a bit of jiggery pockery so that I can claim that ChordJam is playing everything.
You can set each note of a chord in CJ to output on a different channel so I put channel 3 through Midi Echo (with the number of notes, pitch and delay being modified by an LFO). This produces multiple notes for each input note. This went into Speldosa and then through two instances of Spirangle which again adds delays / textures. Did the same with channel 4 but through BeatHawk Harp. It produced a surprisingly nice and rhythmic effect.
Thanks @bygjohn , yes I’m not a big fan of pigeonholing.
🙏 @AlterEgo_UK and @LinearLineman .
Somehow the metal percussion reminds me of the cleats on the masts of sailboats in the harbour I used to holiday at as a child. Very soothing.
A fascinating and beautiful piece. Amazing work !
I love the swells behind the metallic sounds. Very immersive track.
I couldn’t figure out the significance of the phone in the image. However, having recently finished Better Call Saul, I could not help but think of some of the more dramatic instrumental pieces used in the show due to the desert image.
