Cubasis for mixing?
I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with cubasis.
If so how is Cubasis for mixing? Also how are the effects?
Comments
I think it is good and on the whole the effects are good too. Plus you can of course use IAA fx. The built in effects are not as varied as Auria, but for most straight forward jobs, they are fine and get the job done. No subgroups though.
If you're applying IAA FX to a track, can you press play on that one and record the result to a separate track? I'm thinking in terms of 'performing live' when adding FX to the original track.

Oh I might look into using it then cause BM2's effects could be better imo and mixing could be a bit of pain in it.
When you say no subgroups do you mean no mixing individual tracks or do you mean you can't add certain tracks to a different bus?
Bump
I imagine he's referring to the latter. Individual tracks can be mixed, but you don't have sub-groups (busses) within Cubasis as you do in Auria...afaik.
Auria has 8 stereo sub group busses, inputs select which of the 8 or Main to feed. Subs can then be routed either back to mix with Main, back as an AudioBus Input, or to an external multichannel audio interface stereo pair (e.g. all the Focusrites from 2i4 on up). Also has fader groups, a really nice feature.
