“The shadows behind us” - melancholy synth/guitar emvoice single

Hello

When love is lost.

2nd track created in Logic Pro - still no sign of a synth voice in IOS, so back to cakewalk/emvoice I go, purely for the vocals.

Please with both the vocals and the “Guitar” interlude and ending.

Video created on a Pc

Hope you enjoy

  • Did you give Emvoice the name “Lucy”… I like that.

Beautiful video creation to support the music: a complete package. I saw the credit on your YouTube to “Pixelbay”.

I agree that the vocal, guitar and ending are excellent.

  • Have to agree with @McD : a truly impressive combination of music, vocals and visuals. You are making your work with ‘Lucy’ your own, very distinctive thing.

Thanks you for the kind comments

“Lucy” is the name of the emvoice instrument, so I can’t take credit for that :) - they do others, but for my style of music she seems the best fit.

    Thank you. Much appreciated.

  • Added a new version which uses “Acoustic” instruments - not just a swap over, needed to rework and add some phrases. I used to hate artists who spun up acoustic versions of their electronic songs, to fill a singles cd - but I’ve changed my mind :). The EP should be on streaming services tomorrow with the album/single/instrumental/acoustic versions.

Really enjoyed creating this track and proves to me Logic is the way to go - a super charged GarageBand which just fits my workflow. Just need emvoice now to do a AuV3.

  • Nice work! I got Emvoice and the newer Girl (can't remember the name) and Lucy on sale but darn it's tedious work to get it right so an extra credit to you for pulling it off this good. I still haven't finished what I started months ago, maybe I never will.

@Pxlhg thank you for the comments, much appreciated

You must have ”Keela”. I haven’t bought that voice yet, but I’ve used her demo (8Notes) for some background and harmonising.

Whenever I start putting emvoice to a track for the first few days it sounds a bit flat.. I found that using a lead synth ( I use poison 202 distorted guitar ) to pick out her melody worked really well.

With Lucy, she seems to suit slower/minor key songs, so that’s what I’ve concentrated on. Tempted by synth v but once you factor in another voice that the one included it gets quite expensive

Anyway look forward to hearing your emvoice song in the future. Thanks again.

  • Wow, loved everything about this. The slow chord sequence at the beginning, the build up, the guitar break, the video was superb… top job !

  • Wow! What a beautiful melody! I love it.
I must say that I preferred the original version over the acoustic one - to me it could have been a cover of a lost Depeche Mode song! (a compliment!)

  • thank you @GeoTony and @AlterEgo_UK for your comments, really makes a difference to hear such good feedback.

Nice song! I really liked it. Visuals were so cool. I liked the contrast in the synths guitar vs. the piano part.

thank you. the guitar synth from Poison is one of my favourite sounds, can be a bit screechy if not used right, but it can add a lovely bit of melancholy to a track :)
