I just want to control the things on the perform section in iM1 from another app by MIDI CC but dont know were to find the right settings for OSC Balance, Resonance, Cutoff etc.
I even searched the original M1 manual but it seems im too dumb ...

Here is the iM1 manual, did you check in there? Had it on my Dropbox but I haven’t used iM1 with controllers at all since I only use AUv3s nowadays.

You're not dumb, they're just not documented anywhere as far as I can tell.

I did some experimenting sending CCs to it from Rozeta LFO and it appears that it responds to the default mappings listed for Darwin in Gadget. Channel sets which program is acted on.

    Parameter CC Comment
    OSC Balance 7
    Cutoff 74
    Resonance 71
    EG Intensity 79
    Attack Time 73
    Decay Time 75
    Release Time 72
    FX1 Dry/Wet No Assign
    FX2 Dry/Wet 13
    Output Level 7
Pitch Modulation 1 Listed in iM1 app
Filter Modulation 2 Listed in iM1 app
Amp Modulation 92 Listed in iM1 app
    Damper 64
    Pitch Bend PB
    IFX Balance 91

Maybe give these a try. If they seem correct / complete then I'll put them up on the Wiki. Otherwise please note any needed corrections.

    Great!

I noticed that the iM1 manual also refers to the hardware M1 manual. The latter has a MIDI implementation chart on p.135.

I had checked that but somehow missed the CC chart for all the pages of Sysex implementation.

The control changes listed (p.136) differ from my list somewhat. So all should be tested I suppose. I don't use iM1 with external controllers, so I don't think I'll bother myself.

Thank you very much!! I will try them ....

So every Parameter on the Perform Page is assigned now, but for the IFX Balance (the last one) im still searching.

EDIT: Thank you for the tip with the Rozeta LFO, so i found with little effort the parameter for IFX Balance: its 92 :-)

EDIT 2: The Knob in NS2 for IFX Balance in iM1 is 91 instead... I wonder why, but somehow i made it work.

It’s 91 here in the standalone.

Pitch modulation, filter modulation, and Amp modulation don’t seem to be doing anything here. But I don’t know if that’s just me not knowing how iM1 is supposed to work.

  • This is a patch for an ext. MIDI Instrument in NS2 that has control knobs for the iM1
