  • Got to admit that Blocs Wave's Acoustic Songwriter pack is one of their best... And you made it shine...

    Very nice.

    Very nice.

Amplify has some very good material. It sounds good at almost any pitch or tempo. I have used it quite a bit. I don’t use anything but my iPad. That is, no keyboards, guitars, microphones, etc. I use things like Piano Motifs, Riffler, FugueMachine, and others. I often just use the MIDI editor when other apps don’t give the desired results. Blocs Wave usually has something in every sound pack that I can use. Even if only a few work, it’s still a good deal for the price. The only drawback to Blocs Wave is that the effects are burned into the sounds. Sometimes that okay, sometimes not. Thanks for listening.

  • Very layered and it all works like a nice wall of sound.

Thank you so much. That is the effect I was going for! I thought the funky bass line was a contrast to the pads. There were several layers of pads panned across the mix, but the bass line was straight up the middle with a little chorus effect. I tried to increase tension by bringing in some extra things, then dropped it down for the piano part, followed by the vocal bit. I was trying to add a bit of irony with the part that followed immediately after. Thanks for listening.

  • Really enjoyed this one Paul, any chance of making it downloadable so I can ruin it with some soloing 👍

Here you go. I’m looking forward to this. Have fun!

  • Just wanted it to be as spontaneous as possible, so a couple of trial runs and here it is warts and all before my battery dies

That’s excellent! @MadeofWax suggested you for a solo in our latest collaboration. We decided to pass on the solo for that one, but this would really work well with one of his creations. What do you think, Mac?

I think you both did a great job on this collaboration. I’ll have to see if I can find a way to interpret it into a video. Some concepts translate better than others so I will have to go through a few different models and checkpoints to see if there is something that makes sense.
